It is intended that the Larrimac Disc Golf Course follow these course rules of play. The course was designed around the following parameters. These will be the default rules to any event. TDs should feel comfortable altering any rules to fit their event specific needs (eg, flag specific tee pads, USDGC it)
The white-ball golfers have the right-of-way. Just wave them through. We are guests in their beautiful place. They are fast once they catch you.
Each DG hole has three colour tees; Yellow, Blue, Red. Each tee is distinguished by a sign depicting the hole number, coloured in the appropriate colour.
Tee signs will move slightly throughout the season to keep the grass in top notch shape (just like the white ballers).
If a tee sign is on a White-Ball tee box, you have the entire width of the tee box, from the DG tee sign back, for your drive. White-Ball tee box perimeters are evident by the change in grass height, but you may use up to 0.5m of the longer grass along the edges of the tee box if available
If a tee sign is not on a White-Ball tee box, you are free to throw from 3m on either side of the tee sign.
There are 3 shared tees for Yellow and Blue (8, 9, 12). The tee is between the two tee signs.
We play the white and red stakes as IB. We play the cart paths IB. Play where it lies.
SANDTRAPS are IB. You are not allowed a run-up, or step-up. You may follow through. Rake your marks.
The tennis court access road on 16 is IB.
OB and Relief Areas
OB for the whole course are White-Ball Greens, roads, parking lot, pond and buildings (under or on).
WHITE-BALL GREENS OB: You MUST repair your disc marks on the greens. Learn how: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V5uxKhlFw8I
ROAD OB: There are several community roads that weave through and around the course; these are OB. If the road is in between the tee and the target, that road is a river – landing ON it will incur a penalty stroke (Holes 2,10) . If the road is past the target, or beside, it is OB on-and-over (roads on 1, 2, 4, 5, 6, 10, 12, 17, 18). Highway is OB. (16, 17, 18)
**The tennis court access road on 16 is IB.**
POND OB: The pond on hole 16 is OB. The pond is the water to the right of the cart path/tennis access and to the left of the highway.
The marshy area to the left of the cart path/tennis access is a “Relief Area” (806.04). Treat like OB but no penalty stroke.
All other water on course is “Relief Area”.
Take casual relief from anything nasty in the woods (I think of 15 and 17)
Learn the PDGA Rules.
2m rule is stupid.

- This topic was modified 5 months ago by bbp.
After finally playing the whole course, there have been some tweaks.
– The basket has been moved 15 feet into the woods on the top of the grass knob.
– We will ask for permission to trim the maple on the tee pad. It was designed prior to foliage.
– The basket will be moved this week by Justin to the other side of the White-Ball fairway in behind the schnarb we play into on Plaid 2. It will have the Sisters-Keeper green and a sand trap fronting it. The schnarb will protect attacks from the right. And the backstop woods (you wish) will protect from a rear assault. Thank you Justin
– A new measurement will be made for both holes
– Ben has made scorecards with course map on the back. They are in the Larrimac clubhouse
– We are looking for a sturdy mushroom house approximately 40-60 cm high to provide Herman’s buddy Harold a cool abode.June 10, 2019 at 4:21 pm #1829
Justin has moved the basket on 16! So pretty.

The Yellow tees for 8 and 14 have been moved.
8 was lengthened to make it more of a par 4 then a 3.5. Didn’t want to move the basket as the Blue tees are perfect.
14 was initially designed before full foliage appeared on the trees. 14 has been moved to a better pad
The basket for 5 will be moved on Wednesday evening. This is to make it more of a par 4 instead of the 3.5 that is there now.June 17, 2019 at 9:56 am #1855
Great stuff, I think these will be nice modifications. Loving this course so far, and the fact that we have “moveable” baskets and tee pads makes it even better.June 17, 2019 at 2:03 pm #1857
What’s the best way to get the course rules out to the masses? Using the website of the group that designed the course, provided and installed the baskets doesn’t seem to be the way.June 27, 2019 at 9:04 pm #1909
We’ve had a mid-early-season meeting with the Larrimac Mng Team and we’ve made some changes to the course.
Hole 4 is no longer. Removed for flow improvement.
This shifts all the numbers: 5 becomes 4, 6 becomes 5, 7 becomes 8…
Old 9, New 8, has been moved to the top of the hill and is now a shot across the ridge. You can see Red 8 from the basket of 7 (old 8). From Reds you can see all Yellows and Blues. We installed this hole in the front of a storm cell, so we don’t have a measurement yet and had to haul ass to get the new numbers in. This was moved for safety. Flow has improved.
To replace 4, we have added a hole between (old) 15 and 16. New 15 is a throw across the WB fairway, over the gully. Par 4

The Plaid will be played on these tees. They will be Plaided-Up for the Sunday.
What we have so far, and these are being tested to see if they work:
All sandtraps OB
Hole 1 – WB Fairway grass OB
Hole 4 – WB Fairway grass OB
Hole 15 – WB Fairway grass OB (this hole was designed with this OB in mind)June 27, 2019 at 9:22 pm #1911
Things are working out there. We have to mindful of the etiquette of playing on a working ball golf course. When a TOSS event is being played, or waiting for your buddies to show up, it is not kosher to play a couple of warm up holes. All holes played are to be paid for.
We are working on a possible warm-up place and a practice basket.June 27, 2019 at 9:31 pm #1912
Oh, and hole 4 (old 5) has been stretched about 80-100′ because it needed itJuly 9, 2019 at 8:14 am #1961

I plan on taking a distance measurement for New #8 with BBPs range finder this evening at TOSS.July 10, 2019 at 12:43 pm #1977

Ben and I where out at Larimagic on Sunday and changed 5 up a bit, making it a better par 3. After going through scorecards I noticed it wasn’t the most exciting hole, but I think this move makes it an exciting par 3 hole.
We will be moving the basket for 1 in the coming weeks as well.
Everything else looks good.
Gorgeous, but wet out yesterday.
