This week we will be making the trek south to Mountain and Dan Phillips’s course. Hopefully the pond will still be frozen over. It will be a game time decision as to what holes we will play. I’m guessing the beaver pond holes will not be playable.

    Registration at 11:30
    Tee off at 12 pm.

There will be a $5 green fee for nonmembers of the Phillips ScrewDriver

    DIRECTIONS TO MOUNTAIN:

HWY 416: Take the 416 south to the Kemptville (HWY 43) exit.
Turn left on HWY 43 heading eastbound and continue for ~12km
at which point you will take a right onto HWY 1.
Continue on HWY 1 across the railroad tracks then take a right onto
Simms Rd. then an immediate left onto Ronson Rd.
Travel to the end of Ronson Rd. then turn in to the last driveway on your left.

From Albion Rd: Take Albion Rd. south to Stagecoach Rd.
At the end of Stagecoach take a left onto HWY 43 at which point
you will take a right onto HWY 1.
Continue on HWY 1 across the railroad tracks then take a right onto
Simms Rd. then an immediate left onto Ronson Rd.
Travel to the end of Ronson Rd. then turn in to the last driveway on your left.

The street address is: 10254 Ronson Rd.

no-one told me about the points! Can I trade ’em for plastic?

At one point you could have.

The points mattered back in the day. And then those points turned into Ice Bucks and those IBs would be used in the Ice Auction, where you could lay your hands on some plastic.

    Ahhh, the good ol’days

But then the whole double points thing was for the first snow fall round, not for a rainy day in January.

It’s a dry rain. In January. A dry rain in January. WTF. Now I’m taking the ribboned discs from my bag and replacing them with Dragons (they float). WTF

Wow, quite a day! I might have got a little damp out there.

Thanks Dan for having us, and keeping the fire going.

Got a chance to work on my flick today. And on my control.

Yup. Second rain round of the 2019/20 season. Crazy.

We played 17 of the 18 holes (everything about hole 18 was under the water, which was, of course, just above the ice) Came back to a roaring, under-the-tent fire with snausages being tended to. Creek rose about 30 cm while we were there and overtook the new culvert. Pond was frozen with a 5 cm of water on it. I retrieved my drive and played from there.

Svets, Tricky and myself all played Cali. We all shot 9 down.

You all missed another good one.
