Simple rules with some specifics for the Jacques Cartier Park course:
-
Be earth conscious don't litter!
-
One stroke is counted for each throw, and for each penalty stroke incurred.
The winner is the player with the lowest score.
-
Tee throws must be released with one foot immediately behind the tee marker.
A run-up is permitted, as is a follow through that carries the thrower
past the mini-marker disc (provided the disc is released behind the mini).
-
After teeing off, the player whose disc is furthest from the hole throws
first; the player with the least number of strokes on the previous hole
is first to tee off on the next hole.
-
Fairway throws must be made with the foot closest to the hole on the front
edge of the lie where the last throw landed. The other foot may be
no closer to the hole than the foot on this lie.
-
A run up and normal follow through, after release is allowed more than
10 metres from the hole. Inside 10 metres, a player may not step
past the point of his lie until the disc has stopped.
-
Only a disc that comes to rest inside the basket or chains constitutes
a successful completion of that hole a disc that comes to rest on top
of the pole hole is NOT in.
-
Any disc that comes to rest more than two meters above the ground is considered
unplayable. The disc must be thrown from the ground directly below
the disc. (1 stroke penalty)
-
Any throw that lands entirely on asphalt, cement, or water incurs a one
stroke penalty. The disc is then played from where the disc went
out of bounds.
-
Never throw until the players ahead of you are out of range, and until
the fairway is clear.
-
If you find a disc in the woods or the water, and it has a name on it, please contact the owner.
The next disc found in a similar manner could be yours.
-
It is always a good idea to have a spotter for tee throws on #2 and any holes that have blindspots from the teepads, such as those on the 8th and 10th holes.
