I'm trying to gauge numbers for the tournament this year. If you intend to play, please comment below, and indicate your chosen division.

Cheers!
Mark, your somewhat friendly TD. Smile

I'm about 95% sure at this point that I'll be there.

But if I do put me in Open and not Am1 like Rolly the bagger. smile

I'm about a 60/40 right now. Working on clearance.

I am 95% sure I will be playing. Sick kids and/or sick wife could throw curve ball. This happens more often than you might think.

Already booked the Friday off work.

I will play Open.

Does the CC have a similar relationship with the Odsa tour as it did last year? ie: is it an event that needs to be played for some to qualify for the final?

Yes. Top 3 finishers that haven't yet qualified for the season Finale in each of MPO, FAM, MA1, MA2, and, I think MM1 will receive "Gold Passes" to the finale.

Im wondering are we going to draw players from ontario because they need to play in this region to earn points in the series?
like the people that did not play the event in the north...will they need to come here?

So there is no points system where players need to come from Southern Ontario to play here? Not so good for us. Ill decide then on which division I'm in closer to the event, if I may.

Top 3 in each class get a Golden Pass (only way in so far) to the Provincial final to be held at the temp course in Belleville.

Making people travel only helped the Central / North events in my mind.

I like the "final" concept. One weekend, one course, one champion decided. Not the guy with the most ability to play AND attend events being crowned.

You want the event full? Bring a friend along. That simple.

Replace MM1 with MPM and you're good as gold, as there is a Pro Masters division in the Gold Series, and not an Am Masters Division.

~That is all~

It is, of course, a qualification tournament for the Vibram Open this year.

The USDGC qualification tournament this year will be held in South River at the Black Fly Fling.

We need at least 40 people at the Capital Classic this year to stay in the Gold Series, so get your friends excited about our mountain and sign up.

Speaking of which, please sign me up for MA1.

Im a 930ish rated player shane, if we get the same draw of talent is what Im trying to figure out, Am1 I'd be finishing anywhere from the 2-5th, in Open its 11th-15th. I'd rather race at the front of the pack then the back really. Any my practice schedule does not really warrant me playing open.
If no one shows up, from else where then yeah, Im going to move up and beat you. But hopefully we get a good draw from Ontario and I beat you playing in Am1. I cant see anything like they had before where players were required to do some good traveling for points to qualify, so my guess that change is not really the best for us and I'll go up.
