NOTE, registration will start at 9:15. The defending champ for 2 years running (Eric) has a movie appearance later in the afternoon at the CF ACE course so I want to make sure we are teeing off by 10am.

To shorten the player's meeting:

2 meter rule not in effect.

Hole 9 longs, we will use the new T pad (the furthest one up the hill).

Hole 13, water and over is OB. Use the drop zone by the fallen tree over the stream (OB = +1 stroke).

Hole 18, water to the right of the road is casual, water to the left is OB. Play from where it went OB (OB = +1 stroke).

In round one, player cards are shuffled and groups are randomly created. I will entertain requests for 2 people to play on the same card to complete a current or past OMPL match play (but the others on the card will be random, will not accommodate 2 matches on the same card).

In round two, groups are created based on 1st round scores. If two players are tied and it is not possible to put them both on the same card, the player with the best score going backwards from hole 18 goes on the higher card. If by chance they shot the same on each hole, then it will be a random draw.

There will be CTPs that are for both rounds (ie winner of the CTP determined after round 2). Which holes will be announced at the player's meeting. There will be a longest putt on hole 10. The winner of this is the player who sinks the longest putt on that hole. If by chance you sink the putt from in the woods, place the flag/marker 1 meter out of the woods an equivalent distance from the basket up or down the hill. Note, do the same if this happens for any CTP, ie if 10 has a longest drive and your drive is the longest but in the woods, bring the flag/marker 1 meter out of the woods an equivalent distance from the basket up the hill (or down the hill if you drive goes past the basket).

During round 2, each card will be playing for 2 prizes. The winner of the card (total score from both rounds) gets a bottle of Goats Do Roam Red http://www.lcbo.com/lcbo-ear/lcbo/product/details.do?language=EN&itemNumber=718940 (except the tournament winner who gets a bottle of Goats Do Roam The Goatfather http://www.lcbo.com/lcbo-ear/lcbo/product/searchResults.do?ITEM_NAME=goatfather&ITEM_NUMBER=&language=EN).

The second prize for each card during round 2 is a $10 gas card. To win this, you need the most ctps on your card. At each hole, mark on a scorecard who got the ctp for that hole (best way is to have just one person do this on his/her score card). Whoever has the most ctps at the end of the round for each card wins the gas card. Any ties will be broken by teeing off on the ski lodge balcony going for hole 18. Repeat as necessary.

The tournament winner is the player with the lowest overall score (total both rounds). Note it is possible that the winner may not be from the 1st card in round two (ie if someone on card 2 shot exceptionally well in round two and had the lowest score overall, they would be the tournament winner). The winner gets the new GOAT trophy to display for a year.

Suggestion: to win long drive on 10, drive must be in the fairway.

Do you define that as simply, "not in the woods"?

Thanks for the info, Mike.

Are we playing from the longs or shorts?

Serge, are you playing? Andros? Holly? I'm trying to figure out a way to get donated Peach discs to me. He's playing, and there's no registration list to go off of to find someone who may see me in the near future.

Mike, are insurance waivers going to be available for non-members?

Great initiative with the flags, K! That should help with the visibility with some of the baskets, that's for sure. smile
