Seeing as the Ice Bowl is a month away Ice League fees will increase to $8 from $6
unless you have registered for the Ice Bowl.

This is an effort to encourage early payment to aid in the cost of the tournament itself.

Thanks.

Good luck with your lift. You've put a lot on the table. (Maybe the rest of the field is trying to keep you from your drive for the IL Championship)

If I could, I would melt the snow to deny you bonus points.

That. Was. Epic.

Thanks guys for pushing my car out this evening. That was a lot of snow.

You guys are champions of your sport. Maybe I am getting old but Alcove in January might just kill me. I hope people took pictures and will post them. "Epic" I am sure would be the word for the day.

Was there 4 foot drifts up there with a layer of shin crust?

I have never seen conditions so bad that the course forced a tactical retreat. We got to #5 tee pad and discussed going back to 12. We ended up playing #5 and by the time we got to the tonal no one wanted to play 6. We played from the top of the ridge back to #4 (which is a pretty awesome hole)

We then played 12, 13, 14, 15, 16 and 18

I have never see tougher snow shoeing conditions in my life. Everyone in snow shoes and everyone dying. Stace must have fallen down 45 times. We all needed poles. the crust was brutal. It snowed close to 4 inches in 5 hours up there. Wild conditions when out on the exposed ridges

Fun day and wicked exercise, not very fun golf

The 12th Ice League of the 2011-2012 season held at Alcove
attracted 5 participants. In the end it was the team of Shane and Atos that
held on with a score of +2 through 12 holes.

1. Shane Kilpatrick & Mark Atos (+2)
=2. Andrew Vallee & Stacie Sivyer (+4)
=2. California Clausr (+4)

IL standings will be posted as soon as I get them uploaded.

Ice League will wrap up this Saturday February 4th at the
Kanata DGC previewing the Ice Bowl layout.
