Anyone get their new PDGA mag in yet?

In it is a nice article about the PDGA Championship that was held last
September at the IDGC(International Disc Golf Center) in Appling, GA.

Ricky Wysocki won it by 2 strokes over Nate Doss to cap off an amazing year
in which he dominated and won the Rookie of the Year title.

Coverage of the PDGA championship can be found on the "clashdvdseries"
youtube account starting here; http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MGGD_PDuk0E

The IDGC has 3 courses on it's property, the Headrick Memorial Course,
the Warner Memorial Course and the W.R. Jackson Memorial Course.

More info about the 3 courses found here: http://www.pdga.com/IDGC

The one that caught my eye however was this one;

PDGA wrote:
The W.R. Jackson Memorial Course, presented by Innova Discs and Jay Townsend,
is the longest course at the IDGC, coming in at 9,325 feet and par 69. The Gold level
course was designed by Disc Golf Hall of Famer, John Houck, and features
Innova DISCatcher baskets set in a very challenging championship configuration.

Here's the course map:

Take a look at hole 8, (its the one in the bottom right corner in case you don't have a magnifying glass)
it is a 918ft par 5 played on a double helix fairway that is literally
shaped like a stretched out number 8. Talk about choices, thowers must choose which way
to play off the tee then halfway up the fairway.

Wicked awesome.

The par 5 article by Houck was good too. Mentioned the PEI course (of course). Houck's design philosophy is changing for the better.

Thought the Canada DG article was brutal and insulting. How many Canadian stereotypes could Guru fit in there. And where did they get find so many out of focus pics?

Ouch, didn't read the article, just skimmed through the out of focus pics.

Eager to read the article on par 5s.

Here's the W.R. Jackson course being played by Feldberg, Gurthie, Locastro, and Wysocki at the 2013 Disc Golf Hall of Fame Classic: MPO Final 18.
