This week's ice league will be taking place at our old home of Jacques Cartier Park in Gatineau.

Map of park:
http://maps.google.com/?ll=45.441348,-75.708831&spn=0.003173,0.006636&t=h&z=18&vpsrc=6

The parking lots in the park are closed for the winter so park in the side streets nearby.

Going along with this theme of nostalgia this weeks format will be the Northside triple crown. Three tees of red, blue and yellow will be staked out for each hole. It will be 27 holes but it shouldn't take too long to play.

We've got snow out there so ribbon your discs and put away your white ones to help play move along.

Start time will be at 12 PM <-(See this OMR)

Ice putts may occur after the round if weather and time permits.

Just brought in the discs from the garage to warm them up for tape & ribbons. The shoes are ready to go. It's here, "Will the real Ice League round please stand up!"

Can't wait to play #5...the pine tree hole...the orchard...#9...and the Mando! Awesome, awesome, awesome.

...and the Dep! I'm going to buy "illegal" Coke at the Dep. Exciting.

Are we meeting at hole 5?

So for those that have never played JCP we are playing the north east part by the point to the right of the bridge from Ottawa. Right?

Apologies. I didn't follow your initial question all that well and didn't know to answer it "yes" or "no". The link worked for me, thought it would for you too.

Was it ever. The entire course was brought in a Prelude and set up in less than 20 minutes. We have it really, really good here in Ottawa; CFLNF, Mountain, Kanata, Vincent Massey Park, Alcove, The Shire, Arnott Park and JCP! This is the off season League being offered to you so far?!? No course repeats. One permanent public course. Two private courses. And five temp courses!

Best club in the country!

Some sad moments out there when I found out that Lewis had never played JCP. It boggles my mind when I realize that our up-and-coming players didn't cut their teeth at Jaques Cartier.

The Dep guy as happy to see us.

That was the first time I've played that layout and it was a lot of fun. I recognized a few holes from the handful of times I've been to JCP, but many I don't recall ever playing.

Big thanks to Ben for running the event.

At long last the results:

Another fantastic day of golf occurred last Saturday and 13 people(the most people ever at a Ben only run event) came out for a little taste of nostalgia.

There was some impressive scoring on the triple crown layout with the team of Carl and Stacie walking away the big winners.

Carl / Stacie -17 64
Geoff / Jeff -15 66
Deuce / Gavin -14 67
Serge/Drazen -14 67
Shane -13 68
Kyle/Ben -11 70
Mike/Adrian -4 77

Thanks to everyone for coming out to my bonus weeks.
