I find it hard to believe that more than I or 2 holes would be unplayable if they are making snow. However they won't be cause the temp for tomorrow is supposed to be +4. Can't make snow in that temp.

They already have made some snow. I think that they are just testing their snow making equipment. The overnight low will be around -4C, so it is possible that they might make more snow overnight. In any event, the course will be playable as the equipment is only set up near holes 3, 4 and 5 and would end up making extra obstacles, but not to the point of making any hole unplayable.

It won't be 50 cm of snow either, just some patches 5 cm thick or so. Not a real barrier to disc golf.

Do we know if they are making snow yet?

I have no idea as I've found it very hard to find a ninja to scout out all my locations. big grin

If you read the top post you would see that i have a contingency plan in place;

Quote:
It is possible that the CFLNF course will be unplayable because of
snowmaking, if this situation presents itself we will then move to
the ACE course near the Aerial Park. (bring your tags!)

Oh ya, I know you have a contingency plan, but i'd still rather walk through snow and standing water big grin

That is correct. My apologies for forgetting that I had the card when I left.

No worries, there's no stats so all I need is the raw score.

Thanks.

The first Ice League of the 2011-2012 season held at Camp Fortune
(LNF edition) attracted 17 participants.

In the end it was the team of Claus and Mark that took top honors
with some solid play including an ACE! on hole 6 by Claus.

1. Mark A & Claus R* (49)
2. Kyle F & Jeff L (50)
3=. Don L & Ken D (55)
3=. Ben S & Geoff R (55)
3=. Cyle P & Gavin S (55)
3=. Stacie S & Rob D (55)
7. Drazen D & Andrew V (57)
8. Errol M & Mike M (61)
9. Jean (102)

I'll post up the IL point standings after week 2's results as it's more interesting that way. smile

Ice League will resume on Saturday November 19th, stay tuned for more details and a preliminary schedule which I will soon release.

*Reminder: Claus I owe you your winnings.

An ace on 6 eh?

That must have looked awesome just bombing down from the top of that hill!

Did it go right at it or was it a crazy claus flick?

'Twas a very pretty backhand throw with Rolly's Z-Buzz. Started right of the basket, turned a tiny bit, and then a very long, very slow fade to pure chains.

Good point.

Exceptional aces I recall were no. 16 on the first jcp layout by Andy Morrisey, a long high between the trees S-shot, I think with a Leopard, in 2001.

Then the famous Pat Heard ace on 18 blues at jcp in 2005.

Good Ol JCP.

16 old layout, up that alley of trees, closest to the road, eh, that's a nice long straight-at-er Ace.

And 18, another great Ace!

I miss JCP...

What was interesting was that I had left my buzz at the cabin and didn't need it until hole #6. I asked everyone if they had an ESP buzz that I could borrow. Rolly has a Z one he says. I have a look at it, its flat top like mine so I figure it will fly exactly the same and it did.

I threw it just like I wanted aiming slightly low and to the right.
Thanks Rolly, that is one fine buzz.

I aced hole 17 JCP at the Plaid Jacket one year (I think that's 17, then 18 was across the road right?)- into the pocket of trees?

any hoo Dawn Pengally and i looked and looked for the disc thinking it was in a tree, and then she noticed that it was in the basket. I swear to god it slipped in there without making a sound.

Won me $175
