I did want to mess up the main thread with dum qustion like:

What are details of the of the two divisons ie. jacket VS AM

i assume you can't paly in both?

can you have a friend on the same card as you?

which would be a better divison for new players, AM i assume.

Thank for your time with my dum questions.

Plaid Jacket Division is for the top players, AM divisions are for the others...If there is interest in a Rec division I believe it takes 3 players to form a division but I am not sure that this works for the plaid....Cards for the first round are usually randomly assigned and then for the following round are assigned by score by division

Questions can also be answered via the PM feature of the Forum.

All division questions will try to be answered by tomorrow.

The Plaid Jacket Division ($60/$65)

The Open Division. This division is for the more competitive golfers in the region and is open to all who wish to play. They will play the Yellow tees.

The Women's Division ($50/$45)

The only gender specific division at The Plaid. The winner will be a Plaid Jacket Champion. The tees are still being discussed.

The AM Division ($50/$45)

The AM division (also known as AM2) is a competitive division for golfers who want to enjoy The Plaid Experience on a course designed for their skill level. An ODGC Member with a handicap >10 might be considering this division. The tees are still being discussed.

The Recreation Division ($50/$45)

The Rec division (also known as AM3) is for the first year player or the developing player. You can play some wicked holes, watch some good golfers and take in The Plaid Experience for the first (or second...or third) time. They will play the Blue tees all day.

You pick which division you wish to play in and I'll slot you in. Twirly will recognize the best players that day, in each division.

If you pay for both, Twirly will find a way. big grin

Not a guarantee, but stranger things have happened. You might need to start buttering up the TD.

New players would probably be best suited in the Recreation/AM3 Division.

Not a problem.

I doubt it. Most of the costs are going to the rental of the facility. I'll double check, though.

I should justify this statement.

The registration fees are going towards the rental of the facilities (land, club house, lunch, washrooms) and a full field is almost needed to cover the costs. There is no payout, just recognition and trophies.

It was decided that we should try the Canadian a second time; as you should always do things twice to improve on the first time around. Rob wanted to make your second appearance at The Canadian even better than the first.

The Plaid Committee will discuss the future of the Plaid after this one is complete.

Aww, I'll always throw a vote in for the ladies playing at least one round from the longs. (When there's only one ladies division)

How will the cards be set up for the first round? Will it be a mix of am1 and am2 or will it be based on the tees you are playing?

I'm not sure what divisions you are talking about. The Plaid Division plays Yellow/Yellow. The other divisions play Blue/Blue. Players will only be grouped according to their tees.

That answers the question.

I am playing Plaid and my bro is Am and was wondering if there was any chance of us playing together first round

I have known Rob to have a PayPal account. I was just on the UDGS website and I can't find out any info on payments. I would say no, until someone can show me he even has an account.

Admittedly this does not answer Andros' question of whether one can employ this for the Plaid, but now you know the account is there?

The OD Tour has a website?!? Great, now Twirly can ignore 3 DG websites. sarcastic eye roll laughing

I'll call Rob, Andros and see if this is an option.
