This upcoming TOSS event will feature some data collecting for the Design Committee, and we would like all participants to participate.

The ODGC Design Committee is trying to firm up an official drop zone for hole 13 at Camp Fortune. We have one “in the ground” but we’re debating whether it’s fair, fun or appropriate and would another location be better. This is where you, the TOSS [7] participant comes in.

We will have 4 DZs set-up around the green of 13. You will be given a data card at the beginning of the round. AFTER your card has completed hole 13, you will be instructed to attempt each DZ once. For each DZ, you will record a score using the following guide: 1 point for making the putt; 2 points for a metal hit; 3 points for a complete miss; 4 points for ending up in the creek regardless if it hits metal. Tally your points, and write comments at the END of your round.

We have secured prizes for the lowest score on the DZ Comp.

***The Official TOSS DZ for this event will be the one we played several weeks ago, and will be refered to as "DZ 1" on your data card***

The data card will look like this:

Camp Fortune T-shirts are up for grabs at tonight's DZ Shoot Out! Roxie will be the first to tell you how fashionable you'll be in Camp Fortune Blue.

So you'll look so good that Roxie will try to hookup with you? Nice.

Thanks to all of you (24/25 players handed in their data cards) who took the time in the middle of your round to provide the DC some fodder for our discussions.

Disco and BBP both scored a 5 in the game, making all the putts but #4, where they both hit metal (1,1,1,2). They each took home a CF T-shirt. I saw you looking at me Roxie. Wink

Here are the results and comments from the cards. If you want to add something else, post away!

The First Annual CF 13 Drop Zone Shoot Out

"DZ 1 Sucks!" (Missed throw, hit or made all the others)

"Tree frames shot"
"I love dz 2. it makes you work."

DZ 3
8 players made it
7 players hit it

"I like 4 the best xox" (Missed)
"DZ4 - No risk. Boring." (Made putt)
"Creekside" (Missed all)
"dz 4 also easy, maybe move it back 15 feet or so?"

Yes they are. And they will be until next week's TOSS, when we have to clean up for the CC.

I had a late submission. I edited the original post with stats and comments, but didn't do anything with the percentage post.

I would assume that means too risky to do anything but lay up and take the stroke, which is boring.
