I would like to ask everyone to read the Pre-Round Players' Meeting Thread before you make your way to the course this afternoon.
Details about the 2m rule and OB can be found on the score card you will be given, but you should familiarize yourself with the details common to all events as well.

At the shire, the OB line is past the hedge on #8
Is this different from last year, when the OB line was the "centre" of the hedge?

So is "past the hedge" on 8. But what does past the hedge mean? Is it past the fairway side of the hedge, past the centreline of the hedge, or past the far side of the hedge, i.e. on the ground in the neighbour's yard?

The hedge is the cedar hedge. Past it is OB. In it is in bounds and in play. Mark 1m from OB if necessary, but that hedge is 1m thick or more, right? Good luck with that stance.

I will be collecting TOSS fees and shire green fees tonight.
Andrew Vallee will be collecting membership fees and dues.

If your membership status is not current, please see Andrew first, and then see me to complete your registration for the night.

Remember: Registration closes at 6:00. Be at the shire before 6:00! With the concert tonight, you can count on some traffic on the 417. Give yourself lots of time; I'm planning 70 minutes from my house near Riverside and the 417. Either I'll get lots of warm-up in, or I'll be starting cold. Either way, we'll be starting on time.

Cheers!

Don't forget to pack extra towels for the round.
Looking at that band of precipitation blowing in from the south, we aren't likely to get much in the way of sunshine for this round.

Perhaps I'll wear my wellies.

I may have spoken too soon.
If you look at the weather glorification channel's radar predictions, there should be a period without precipitation over stittsville from 5:00 until well after 8:00. thumbsup

Preregistration is now closed.
To all preregistered players: See you at the Shire!
To those not on the list: Make it out there before 6:00 to get on a card.

Cheers!

You didn't miss much in the way of golf. It was a MISERABLE evening, weather wise.

That was definitely not a dry rain.
