Looks good, not too much commitment. Are we not going to at least get to play eachother once as we're such a small division?

if you played each other 1x, you would play 7 games in 5 months,

The way the schedule was made was the group was divided into 2 groups A and B

Seeded by OMPL player rating players were put into the 2 groups. Rank 1,3,5,7 in Pool A and 2,4,6,8, in Pool B
That makes 3 games within the pool, and one game against the counterpart in the other pool:
1vs2
3vs4
5vs6
7vs8

Playoffs will be in Aug (Rd1), and Sept (Rd2 and the final)

Thanks for the explanation. Didn't see that there were two pools. Look forward to the matches and Sergio is up first. Rock'n'Roll.

Sounds good. I'd prefer to get the round played at CF. You available the week after installation? I have a few exams but will have a few days off where we can get an early evening round in. If not it will have to be Kanata.

What say ye?

It depends on the circumstances.
https://sites.google.com/site/ottawamatchplayleague/home
From the Rules:
All matches must be completed prior to the last day of the schedule.
All players shall play a minimum of six (6) matches.
Matches shall be designated to be played according to a specific month during the schedule.
Players must make every effort to play their designated matches before the end of the assigned month. Where a match is not completed prior to the end of the designated month it can be played late, and will be entered into the standings when the player has completed their entire 6 game schedule. If a player misses a game due to dog dying, almost cut finger off, wife gives birth, kid is sick, etc that's cool. Make it up when you can. If a player misses a match due to laziness or something along those lines, they have to play the game late, finish the schedule, then the points will count.

Players may elect to play matches for which the designated month has not yet begun.
Players may play their matches in any order.

Players in default:
Where a match has not been completed prior to the end of the grace period, the match shall be considered in default, and the players who were to have completed that match shall be considered in default.
Players in default may appeal to the OMPL director for an extension to play their match with the understanding that the OMPL director need not entertain such an appeal.
The OMPL director may, at their discretion, penalize players in default by denying them any points for the respective match.
The OMPL Director may, at their discretion, award a win to one player in default for the respective match in default. The award of a win according to this rule will only be made where it is clear to the OMPL director that one of the defaulting players was purposely avoiding a match, while the other was making every effort to arrange for the match The avoiding player will also start the next season with -4 pts.
Players found to be in default repeatedly may be disqualified, or barred from participating in future match play leagues. Disqualification may result in the removal of points awarded to the disqualified player, and points lost by the disqualified player.

If you have a specific example, post or PM,

Jeff L. You're at home this month.

I'm not sure if we've met before though...

Send me a PM to set something up.

Jeff L. has got a busted up hand and doesn't think he can play me this month. What should we do Rolly?

Play a match from another month in you schedule for starters if you can,

Injuries (and other good excuses like death's in the family etc) that cause missed games can be made up at anytime and will count when they (the individual match compared to the entire schedule) are complete. Try to finish other games so your not having to complete all games in the last month. If injury lasts all season he defaults.
