Are there new tees?

no....we kept to the original design as much as possible. Some areas (#8 ) had to be moved a bit due to extreme mud

JAB you'll be happy to hear that Thumber made a great effort to ensure that
the tees are quite wide to accommodate different throws and to ensure optimal footing.

Hey All,

What kind of footwear is best for Alcove? I expect relatively soggy and muddy conditions at the least. Is the terrain akin to CF? Is it a day for hiking boots?

Thanks.

I am taking my light hiking boots and hiking shoes. The top of the course is relatively dry. Its wet in the bottom. Goretex socks. Plus sandal or crocs for afterwards.

The course is much more open than CF but similar terrain.

If the current forecast holds (let's hope it doesn't), be prepared for cold, wet weather.

It;s going to be tight. I ask that people try to stay off the grass as much as possible as it will be soggy and I don't feel like repairing the lawn for my folks.

I'm going up around 3am I will park as close to the house as possible. Pull in tight behind me, we will all squeeze in as best as possible. Leaving might be a challenge lol

Stace are we at risk of blocking your folks vehicles from leaving if we all pile behind you?

Her folks are going to park at the corner of the driveway so they can get out and we get the whole driveway. Nice folks !

Do not drive on the grass or block in Stace's parents.

If you are later you may be forced to park at the bottom of the driveway and hump your gear up.

Rain makes for a good mud slide.

Not to be a bummer but the forecast looks worse everyday...

I kinda hope it snows, that would be way better!

It has also has been used to nice grooming and trampling by cows. The terrain is less rocky than CF, more muddy. smile
