Lemons - The course layout...3 holes(8, 9, and 10) with the exact same shot requirement(short Hyzer)
- Lack of lunch organization
- People forgetting that it's about the charity not how much each person gave to that charity!!

Lollipops - The charity
- The Ice Auction ran fairly smooth!
- The weather
- The people

Lollipops
- great conditions and people...loved the wind
- excellent organization
- great HQ with the tents
- pizza lunch was a great idea....just needs to be paid for in the check in....which is a lesson learned

Lemons
- no rebuy in the auction (which i still don't understand)
- not a fan of Royal Oak food in general
- Ice putt .....IMO i should not be part of the Ice Bowl...but i am not a fan in general

Lemons:
  • Ice putt delaying the start of the tournament.
Lollipops:
  • A well-run event on a well-balanced course with well-conceived modifications to its layout.
  • Just enough winter disc golf.
  • All those great people that were part of the day.

Lollis

- Perfect winter golf weather
- Great card mates
- 1 hour for lunch
- Snowshoed players
- New champ (who earned it by practicing?!? Imagine that)
- Paul B gets moved from his first choice of division (Open) and then wins his new one (AM)!
- Lot's of generous folks
- A fair ruling for snowshoed players
- An after tournie venue close to the course
- One set of pads
- 12 holes
- A tournament/event to be proud of

Lemons

- Impatient players at the bar
- Unsolicated opinions/advice at the bar
- Kanata DGC parking lot unplowed
- After 10+ years of winter golf in our community, STILL looking for unribboned discs. :shakehead:

Shane has got to have tired muscles after holding that HUGE grin for the WHOLE evening. He was a gratious and humble champion, even if we did need string to keep him from floating away.
I heard all about the practice second hand, and the guy that won worked for the position. That story alone could be used to define the day.

"Do you remember the Ice Bowl that Shane decided he'd win?"

I do.

Embarassed Awe, shucks.
There were dozens of little events and such that led to this happening. I figured it was a lollipop no one else would enjoy. Thanks, dude!

Lemons
Advertising. We had a nice turnout, sure, but I think we should have made more of an effort to get more people out.
Lunch. Disorganized and ended up not being a good value.
Award pictures outside after the day was done.
Ice Buck calculation. There has got to be an easier way for you guys to deal with this. Maybe have someone register donations at the registration table, maybe keep a running tally throughout the year, maybe some of each.

Lollies
Our contribution to the food bank. Awesome!
Course and format.
Players packs. Good variety of loot, all useful, well put together. (Some lighter discs would be nice, though).
