Ahhh, I see,
On the IL stats pdf, is where I saw the 25th,

Is it a normal event as far as points go or do we just earn a small amount of bonus points?

I will award bonus points (double participation) to all 3 events that Ben is running.

Regarding the Ben-Bonus-Points events: Is it double participation + the 100 for first, 95 for second, etc, like IB and the first snow fall? OR, is it just double participation points?

I think its points + double participant points=total score as opposed to just getting a small bonus. But then I thought there were an IL on Dec 25th. Razz

It could very well be. The past ILs have had the "holiday" events worth only the bonus points, as they're tough to get to and are usually low in attendance (ie, last year's Xmas weekend had me, Ben and Gobbles out) and Don and I thought that a win against one other team didn't have the same value, and didn't seem fair for those who have other commitments over the holidays.

For reference:
http://www.odgc.ca/files/2010-ice-league-ranking-docs.pdf
http://www.odgc.ca/files/2008-ice-league-ranking.pdf

It was more a question to help those that have been participating in ILs for years (read: me) and may be used to the "old" ways and aren't aware of Andros' vision.

Also, the statement about double participation points was also confusing for an "old" Ice Leaguer, as past ILs have only offered double participation and basic finishing points at the first snow fall and IB, which seemed to follow the "rules" at the bottom of the Results Table.

Quote:
Double Participation points will be earned on the first Snow Day and at the Ice Bowl (Feb. 12th). Bonus pts available over the holidays.

Andros will clear it all up for me, and I'll be all good.

If it helps to get more attendance, I believe that the 27th +28th is a Mando Holiday for all.
I';m not going to go Shane on your Asses big grin, if the next 2 are normal scoring it will help more people max out their points and get 6 Ice Leagues + the Ice bowl in for their points. This will result for a more exciting points race.

The most recent event at Kanata will be awarded the rank points and bonus points.

The next 2 events I will award double participation points only.

All right here is the info on the next Ice league.

It will be on Sunday December 26th.

I have been asked if I would start it earlier and I am willing to show up and send people out at 11 if they want to. It would be great if people would PM me if they were planning to attend this week and at what time they would like to start.

We will be playing at Arnott park:
This was the site for the first Geoff/Ben LNF. Once I get out there and scope it out I will post a course map.

Yes. I haven't heard from anybody yet so I will start it at 12. I will be there around 11 to set up the course.
