Totally excited for freezing my ass off playing this winter. Wishing I could be at the first event at Alcove, which is a wonderful, beautiful, punishing course, but alas, I will be playing a tourney at Bronte that day...

Have fun guys and dolls!

I'll be there with bells on. Brightly coloured, if metaphorical.

I hope the driveway is nicer to my car than it was to Andros'.

It was actually the bump when getting off the 105 that messed up my muffler.
They were paving it that day and the shoulder wasn't done so there was a 6in
drop from the pavement that surprised me. Flooring it up the driveway I'm sure didn't help either. disgusted

Don't let the weather for Saturday stop you from coming up to Alcove.
It may look like rain in Ottawa but up in Wakefield it may become flurries or even snow.
No wimps, no whiners!

If anyone has any trouble getting up to Alcove or is running late Saturday
morning give me a call on my celly; 613.850.6204

If anybody going up to Alcove would have a few minutes to unload baskets at CF tomorrow morning , and store them , we could use some help...I'm still waiting on a few details , but I'll post here later today.

Probably between 930 - 1030...will confirm for everyone.

Thx

Is there "bonus points" if the snow flies?

As per last season;

Don Lane wrote:
Double participation points will be awarded to those who play on the 1st real snow day and at the Ice Bowl itself. For the "1st Snow Day - if it only sprinkles - that's not snow. It's got to be something significant, either falling that day, or already on the ground from a very recent snowfall.

Therefore the probability of "something significant" is increased at Alcove. All the more reason to attend.

I think I need a ride there and back.

Stace is going up there after working the bar tonight at 3AM .

Can anyone pick me up: Bronson and the Queensway?

a lot of construction around there on the parkway, so worth a pre-match scouting for sure.

Also worth noting Don aced hole 12 which is quite impressive for those who know the course.
Unfortunately there will be no Ace pot for this season’s Ice League but I encourage
folks to pay up a fiver if you’re on that card.

Beauty Ace! it looked like it was going to be long but it turned just after the trees on the ridge and basicallly crashed down onto the tonal. Boom, Wow, what an ACE! I'm pretty sure Don got well compensated for his beauty!

Good to hear Gobbler and thanks for the play by play.

It's always nice to hear an Ace story.
