Not a huge fan, in that I only drove to New Jersey to see them at Christmas in 2008... Okay, yeah, I'm a pretty big fan.

...yes, I was actually there to visit friends, but we made a night out of it... Clutch at the Starland Ballroom, fantastically fun show. I had no idea though that they were touring through. Now I make a sadface.

Sad

Now, for Carl's benefit, imagine that duplicated about 1000 times.

Brad Mehldau does awesome piano covers of popular artists, including the Beatles and Radiohead.

His version of Paranoid Android is amazing!

His covers are soothing and melodic.

Thievery Coorporation

They would be great playing golf, crisp, soothing, relaxing melodies, lots of albums, good band .

Kind of like Acid Jazz, Lounge, I don't really know what to call them.
Wiki says this; "Their music style mixes elements of dub, acid jazz, reggae, Indian classical, Middle Eastern, and Brazilian (such as bossa nova) with a lounge aesthetic."

Massive Aattack
Portishead
other bands like this

Not many lyrics, just beats that can blend into the background.

hmmmm...

I'm pretty certain that my Ript Revenge deck got stolen with the rest of my stuff out of my car in TO. I'll have a look at home though to confirm that.

F'narkin' thieves.

I don't mind a good pipe band. Suppose you don't like curling either?

For those who were inquiring last nights set-list at the Shire was as follows;

John Scofield - A Go Go
Greyboy Allstars - Freestylin'
Blind Foley - Leith Mindstate EP
VA - Smooth Jazz Chill Out Lounge (2009)

Taking requests for this Saturday's IL at Kanata for those lucky enough to be on my card.
Keep the good music ideas coming!
