I am making the Chili now. I mentioned to Adam that by keeping the chili separate, people can opt to have Chili one day and the sandwich lunch from the Lodge the other day so we will figure out a cost per chili lunch. Current forecast for Burk's Falls area is a tad wet and cold. There will be enough chili for everyone for both days if desired.

As Adam previously mentioned, for snacks, you are on your own (different people have different tastes and everyone is not staying under one roof). Also, you will note we did not purchase any juice or coffee. If you want some with your breakfast, you'll need to bring it.

I will be bringing some Montreal Steak spice for the ribeyes. If you want a sauce or something else, you will need to bring it.

If anyone sees we are missing something, let us know. I need to make another trip to Costco tomorrow morning for the English Muffins.

It cost $63.20 to make 32 cups of chili. That works out to about $2/cup, serving is about 1.5 cups, therefore chili will be $3 per lunch.

We'll also bring some of the rye bread we bought yesterday out for lunch.

If you want hotter chilli, I will be bringing some hot peppers a friend gave me that are from his mothers garden. I will also be bringing a garlic press that you can use to sqeeze the hot peppers.

You'll need some sort of bowl/cup and a spoon to eat the chili with.

Too young to remember prohibition.

Cocktails were invented to render rotgut palatable...

And to increase the likelihood that you'd live through drinking whatever foul poison was going into your face. wink

Ended up with about $35 worth of left over food since we did not eat the Sunday breakfast. Stuff I will eat/use so instead of reimbursing everyone $3, I will make a $35 donation to the Dusan Foundation on behalf of the Ottawa crew.
