Shuffle happens tonight. Odds are Roxie's in the B-Pool. He'll be hitting Pinto Lake with a Tee Time (probably near 8-9 am). Looks like a lot of OB.

Yesterday a Par 84 at Pinto earned a rated round of 999. Shoot PAR!!!

Hey Carl! How was Chains The Movie?

Nope, I'll be in A pool all week. A and B pools play different courses each day, so mixing them doesn't work. Good for me.

Chains was good. Some really good fotage and soundtrack. Way too long though. 2.5 hours. Director hasn't finished editing it yet. We left at the 2 hour mark.

Here's to a better round tomorrow.

oh god that was mostly brutal. Oh well, shot 8 better than yesterday, which officially did not happen. Because carl jumped to the B pool, all our travel plans started to unravel. Long story short I get to the course 7 minutes before the start, get redirected to an overflow parking lot another 800 feet down the road *away* from tournament central, so don't even know my starting hole... running to the hole with the card, shit flying out of my bag on the way..., forget my powerbars and therefore *all* snacks, play a 6 hour (6!!!) round in crazy wind with the 2 other bottom feeders. start off with an 8 (8!!!!) on hole 2, basically briefly falling to DFL until I started playing smarter. ugh.

Well Pinto started rough, but I pulled it together half way through. First nine was brutal to me. Two circle 6's and a third one in the second nine. Lots of OB roped off and very tight. They said there was more yellow rope there then Winthrop. Hit a sweet 90 foot putt from my knee under a tree for a birdie three on 16 and shot a 5 on the 1288ft hole with a penalty. Would have been nice to 4 that one. Finished my last 9 1 under. One more round tomorrow at Ryan Ranch. Looking forward to that one, suits my game a little more. I hope.

Opps that was me posting above. Here a little vid of yours truly that omr shot on my last hole. This set me up for a 60 bird bid that I missed.

Much better round today. Finished +1 at Ryan Ranch. Was -2 with three to play, but ran into some bad luck. Happy overall with the round today though.

A +1 86 yesterday would have earned you a 969! That's a much better round!

Finished. Had a nice enough round, with a couple of birdies, although still had too many 5's. stupid 5's.

I was back at it with the Norwegian & Korean. very quiet rounds. Korean was awesome in attire alone, sporting the ascot and doing the claus fakey fakey.

Had a brutal roll away today on a little poke and hope on hole 21 at deLa. rolled about 60 feet down a slope into poison oak with about a million, literally, guard trees. ugh. another 5.

stupid 5's.

made use of a bunch of flick drives. that was good.

my upshot game was right on. it was a matter of:
1. do you get through all the trees off the drive
2. do you know how to putt

enough said.

it's like you step up to the putt and have totally forgotten what the mechanism for a putt are anymore. very weird.

today was really the first day where I was able to putt again.

my goal was to not finish DFL. I swear. that was it. day 3 saw me take an 8 on my second hole against the two bottom dwellers (I being the 3rd) and they were briefly ahead of me, i.e. there I was, dfl.

but fear not, your hero rallied and came back, playing as solid as a game without putting can be, just relying on putting it within 6 feet. (my new circle of confidence).

ok gotta go, as Carl's giving me grief about typing a novel.

stupid carl.
