With 8 eligible players now preregistered, there will be at least two pools.
Currently, the total pot is $20 (week 1) + $19 (week 2) + $8

Thanks to everyone that's taken the time to preregister.

how was i not in pool A or B?

I was ahead of both andros and C-Cyle coming into last night. I believe C-Cyle took the QB pool. Yet I shot 6 strokes better than he did. Not trying to take his win away, just don't understand how I wasn't in the running for the B-pool QB Challenge?

OMR got moved up because Euro and Darko didn't show. But if we pooled by handicap, then I had OMR beat (9.5 versus 10.0). I don't get what happened.

10 players makes two pools. Pool A becomes:

Wormald, Rob
Penton, Geoff
Visser, Carl
Kilpatrick, Shane
Lariviere, Jeff

These are the top 5 in handicaps.

Pool B therefore becomes:

Vallee, Andrew
Prange, Cyle
McLeod, David
Svetkoff, Ben
Bourgeois, Paul

Two even numbered pools. Now I think the confusion happened because Old Man played with Twirly, Rox and me. This happened because Old Man was tied with Rox in overall score, and could make a charge. Shane was relegated to the overflow group of Bourgie and These-are-the-Daves-I-Know-I-Know. Shane was still in pool A, just not playing on the top card.

This move made groups of 4 and 3 instead of two groups of 5.

Thanks Penton....that makes sense. It made zero sense last night.

So hear is the next question, if the QB Challenge is all about best raw score over 3 rounds, why is handicap even factored into it?

I could have a really high handicap, but go out and shoot lights out for 3 rounds and, if I have the best overall 3 round score, would still only end up winning the B-pool

The pools are set up to spread the cash and try to do it fairly. I won the whole thing, but made the same $28 that C-Kyle earned.

If you shot lights out with a high handicap you could win the cash for Pool B, and still win the QB (which only really has the added bonus for the PC QB series). This makes it fair for the Pool A players who can also earn $$ from their pool. Now if there's <8 players then there's only one pool then this individual--you--is going to cash big time.

The names of the pools are just names. Not divisions.

So in essence OMR, you got screwed by Club Europe (including Darko)

...or he got screwed by any other 2 players who showed up from B pool. Two less B poolers and he'd be the top of the B-pool.
