We've had a race cancellation the May long weekend. I've been able to secure a day of DG fun and otherwise have to work on house/farm stuff.

What I thought might be fun is a one day random draw doubles tournament. 2 or 3 rounds made up of an equal number of holes of (Scramble, Alternating Shot, and Best Score). A warm up to the Pelican with some practice with these formats at Ettyville. We'll track stroke for payout but groupings are encouraged to set side match bets. smile

I'll have beverages and bbq as per usual and do the cooler stations every 3-4 holes. I'll gladly accommodate anybody who wants to camp or needs to crash. Camp fire or whatever.

How about a cost of $15? $10 for payout and $5 Green Fee (Note: Ettyville Super Spin to be the benefiter). How about we pay out 33% deep in the field?

I'm open to suggestions. I'll be the evener out of pairings so no need to worry about last minute show ups but pre-registration/declaration of interest is always good for attracting others.

We can also set a "next day" rain date as long as we obviously don't pick Monday if that's what people want.

We'll firm up a start time but if we want to get lots of play in it'll be an am start for sure. 10 a.m. tee off kind of thing but you'd need to be registered for 9:30.

I'm not aware of any events but if there's something going on let me know and I'll adjust.

Kids / Dogs / Wives / Mistresses all welcome. Could be a long day with 2 or 3 rounds so judge accordingly. Domain Inn and Spa up the road.... The gift that keeps on giving if you want to play disc golf while the better half is getting pampered. Mothers day is a coming. The food is awesome there but not sure of the requirements. You might have to book for the night for the dinner but day spa treatments are available.

Lots of views. Not a lot of expression of interest yet. It's early in the game but there's been another race put together for the one cancelled. If you're at all interested in this please let me know. It won't take much to convince me to stay home and get other work done and host this event. No expressed interests leaves my options open. I'll set a decision date for the morning of May 19th where I'll fully commit or decide to go out of town. Right now I'll make the call that it'll be on the Sunday May 23rd of the long weekend.

I'm interested, not too sure what I'm up to that weekend but doubles at Ettyville would be high on the to do list.

Cool. No commitment declaring interest. Walk ups will be welcome as I will play or not play to keep the numbers even. Just looking to convince myself to not go racing that weekend really.

There is a qualitative factor to this too. Say.. The Hawaiian tropic girls are "interested" then itís ON like Donkey Kong.

Say.. the competitive Scrabble players are interested. Start your engines we're going racing. Shocked

No offence intended for competitive scrabble players intended.

Yup. Starting tonight. It's the wrong place for it, but any tips?

Take your time, really think it out and do it right once. Bathrooms are a bitch if you don't do everything correctly

Bathroom relocation eh? Sounds messy. My advice; hire a plumber.

Plumbing is simple. Just take your time (and it takes time). I've completely replaced the plumbing in one of our bathrooms (replaced all the 60 year old cast iron pipes and vent with ABS piping).

If you are working with water pipes, they need to be completely dry prior to applying flux and solder. One trick if you have a trickle of water coming out of the pipe (so the pipe is never dry) is to shove a piece of bread up the pipe. It will temporarily stop the trickle then desolve. Also, have a fire extinguisher handy if you are using a blow torch. You can also hang a soaked rag behind the pipe you are using the blow torch on.
