What should be the schedule for the league next year? Should playoffs be this late? 1 game a month is enough? Im getting some feedback that its to dark to fast to complete games on a week night...

Ending a little earlier would be good. I think for most of us it is harder to free up a weekend day this late in the year.

There should be 2 months where we play 2 matches....May - June or June July to take advantage of maximum daylight. I also find it hard to play matches on the week end once Sept rolls around....People tend to gravitate towards the Shire instead of FM or CF.

You should lose points for not finishing your matches...or attempting to

Playoffs should start Sept 1st...they'd be over by now !

We had the same issues last year with unfinished matches, I just knew it would be tougher this year with the loss of JCP. Losing points for unfinished matches would be a good motivator.

Its not going to change much if you simply can't make the time because the weekends are booked and its too dark after work.

I like Disco's suggestion of double stacking a few months.

If the players can't make it once a month, why could they play twice? It's a good idea in theory.

I don't think so. Some people just don't care or can't play for some reason and its the other person who gets affected.
And people play cause its fun not because they are worried about losing points.

I say make smaller pools and finish earlier in the season.

Thats why i did not do it this year, and like you said no central course...

I was thinking of having this past year 1 match/month, april-->aug and each person would have a floater game, where its a game to be played at any point in the season. Playoffs in Sept then.
If we had JCP I think we would be ok for playoffs for the most part, remember you don't need 18 holes usually,

Playoffs with a cut. Top 8, no ties.
More like baseball, less like hockey.

I disagree...i really liked the idea that everyone makes the cut. I do realize it makes it longer though.

Paul....what about paying an extra $5 to the club on random draw night for the privilege of getting to play your match as well? Every third tuesday is random draw....players who want to play match pay an extra $5 (either each or total) that goes to the club. That way you can capitalize on the time when the most people are there.

The thing is everyone does not play each other 1x. So a playoff cut is not entirely fair. Take Thumbers schedule for example, his was full of tough matches, he's in a tough group, a weaker player with an easier sched could have made the playoffs and he would not because he's got Claus, Turly, and Veez to deal with,

This is a good idea, but I would much rather people focus on Tue league at Tue League, and probobly so would Paul, as it would throw a bit of a wrench in the stats,
