I'm keeping the master list on dgo, for anyone who wants to consult their division and their competitors.

What's the interest level like in Ottawa?

Wilder? This is your type of course.

Unky Steve? Another chance to beat the kid.

Penton? Surely you got some arm left in ya?

Splash, Surge, Bender, Stace? Wanna have fun on the farm? Surge, it'll be a little longer than Lennoxville...

Where are all the Ottawa golfers? We want to play with you!!!

Like the flyer says. This is an inclusive event.

If you can't make the full 2 days work but can come out for some of it please do. The course lay out will be exciting especially with a "mini" 9 layed out into a par 70 something course. This also is about the only time of the year the Super Spin will be a wash in music as you play a round so I don't want people to miss out. I'll work out some more details with the OD people but I'm thinkin of "day pass" access for people who want/can come out and do a round and want to “par” take in the food, camping, and/or other stuff. I think there'll be some glowie too.

I’m planning on providing some more details on the whole offering (food, music, mini, day pass, etc) closer to the date but I just wanted people to know that they are more than welcome to come on out and start dreaming up good excuses to get there.

From Mr. Bee on the DGO forum...

Quote:
Yup, it is going to be a SWEET event!

The course is looking awesome and superchallenging. Lots of everything, including a pond on #6 that might make a few knees knock.

There will be a Bar set up on the corner of #5/6/7/8 and another stocked cooler on #11/12 as well as the main clubhouse bar on #18/1...Folks will be WELL hydrated all day long! AS well, on the 5/6/7/8 combo area John will be setting up a PA station blasting the dock rock all day long; and at tournament central we will be blasting the beats all day.

Looks like there may be no bands, but with the glowie, the mini, the guts, and the multiple cooler stops en route through the course there may not be enough people alive to interest the bands. But no worries, Bee and his DJs will be stapling out the funk all night long!

Anyone who misses this will miss perhaps the greatest host the OD tour has ever had the privilege of working with! John will be taking care of all our needs and his vision for this event is unsurpassed!

Book the weekend now and get in the game!

I'm buying some beer for out on the course for guests as well. Bring a bottle of shooter poison for the back nine watering hole. I'll be bringing the first bottle.

Day pass update. Without much thought at all I'm going to put the price of a day pass at $20. This goes to covering the costs of your consumables. Food, port-a-potty, music, drinks, etc. As long as you're there you'll be a wash in the same comforts as the OD tour participants lol. Any course play will not be included in the tournament prizes though. I'll need to know in advance. If you're just showing up then show up but there won't be any food or drinks allocated for you but you're more than welcome.

If you can't make the 2 days but can find your way there to join in on Saturday please do.

Stay tuned for further updates.

Official Note:

This primary beneficiaries of this event are the OD Tour and John Pytel. The funds generated from this event will go towards the course improvement (baskets in Ettyville are a dream away!), and towards running more events that ultimately make everyone happy.

We all win!

There's a faint beat in the distance....

Course is coming together. Thanks Bee, BBP, and Ben for help setting up. We've got all the holes ready to play for the OD#3 set up. Wicked man!!!

New # 9 got a good review this weekend.

Quote:
I love your new wood hole. Initially, I didn't like the one tree in the middle of the fairway but after throwing it I understand it. You need that perfect (not crazy perfect but good shot perfect) shot to make the turn and start turning toward the basket. You're going to need a rule for that bush pile unless you want players standing on top of it - maybe put a drop zone behind it or something to take your shot; no penalty, just the added bonus of having to thumber over the shite and get to the basket.
