We'll back back in Ettyville on July 7th.

The corn should like quite different then. I'm really looking forward to the round.

Are you not allowed science shots in Tuesday League?

Even after your first shot? I know there are rules but Tuesday night is a long way from a PDGA sanctioned event

Something that was unusual about last night's round:
Almost calm wind conditions from beginning to end. I just realized that at no time did I ever have to take the wind into account when deciding on a shot.

Then add one to my score. On 4, I made the safe drive to the elbow of the fairway. After I asked the group if I could do a science shot to see if I could make it over the trees to the right. No one objected so I did so.

Is this just a flow issue or a rules enforcement? I think that if the card is ok with it then they should be allowed within reason.

That said, I've just been informed that science shots were never allowed on Tuesday nights.

Shows what i know

Please feel free to practice all you would like prior to the start of the round and any time following the finish of the round. During the round is not the time for practice.

The voice of the players on your card cannot be used to negate a rule of the game, including that related to practice throws.

No lost discs (I think). The course is fantastic. You may still lose discs if you're wild, but there's plenty of room to keep it on the fairway.

That's good to hear Chuck, especially coming from you.

Lost and found thread is pretty quiet.... smile

None on my card but I think there might have been 1. More daylight related.

It's tamer now for sure because the corn is 2 inches high. When its 7 feet high it'll make finding errant shots a bit harder.

You'll only know once you try Rolly. Come on out tonight. Greely to my place is only 40 km. It'd be my pleasure to show you around. I've got spotters and caddies available thanks to Paul B and Geoff P. My sons friend wants to come caddy now too. laughing

Important to note as well that my lost disc fiasco involved bad throwing and bad judgement due to large quantities of sauce.

The course plays way different when you're not three sheets...

Hey John,

I haven't played your course yet but I am really looking forward to my first time out there. I will be playing the OD event at your course in July, how high do you think the corn will be by then?

Can't wait to see you out there Andrew.

Corn. In late July? Hmmm. Not as high as when YOU exit the "barn" but somewhere between 5-6 feet?

The corn only comes into play on about 5 or 6 holes.

The fear of losing discs was more valid in the past. The grass was way longer in August, had a lot tighter fairways, and people were sauced or true amateurs. Now its becoming more open but the intent is landing areas and positioning yourself for the next shot. I'm trying to build a golf course. Not a park with a golf course in it if that makes any sense.

Cheers.
