Why?
Because we are all officials on the course. We might not have asked for the responsibility but its on our shoulders to call rules infractions which makes this unique.
Even if your an am2 playing with an open player or the other way around, its important to call the infractions--- everyone is fair game.
(this is in tourny's etc, who cares on the fun rounds)

and dont be intimidated on calling the rules. Remember they signed up to play by them.

Rolly, I agree 90% with the above statement, but in a fun round it is also a learning round and 'letting someone know' that a particular habit/infraction etc. is a fault in PDGA or tournament play will only help the golfer.

Now if someone obviously knows that they are in the wrong...

I played with rico and r'n'r tonight and there was discussion about how to approach when shots were in the bush. i like the discussion
