For those interested Ottawa parties--and not putting ANY pressure on ANYONE to attend; I've mended my ways and will not lean hard on anyone to travel one block more than they have to in order to enjoy a fine day of disc golf--we're having a little one-day two-round tournament against the trees at Parc Maisonneuve. The Peacock Challenge is $20, one division, and we will be awarding Peacock Club tags by order of finish. Tags will be created a little later, so your tag will be virtual until the real deal is done.

Check out the Peacock Layout at Maisonnueve:

Anyone travelling to Montreal at a later date can pm me or call for more specific directions on pins and tees.

See Ya!

If its this Saturday I am 100% out unfortunately. Catch you on the next one.

I think Surge has 2 of your discs as well. Andros he has one of yours as well.

Is this course permanent with chains? Can I drive down on any week day and play it? I can't make it Saturday but if I knew it was there I may drive down one day during the week.

Unfortunately no courses in the city of MTL have permanent baskets.

This tourny in particular will be object golf.

The last one I went to every card lugged out a temp basket, all in all it went pretty smooth.
Apparently the parc Maisonneuve is a great venue for this as it's an old ball golf course.

I played this object course a couple of time and it's a really good layout with a good variation of shot from anhy to hyzer shoot and if you have a flick it's always good!

suddenly nothing can be permanent in the maisonneuve Park but we should have a course in montreal(maybe not a 18 holes to start) next spring. The ADGM did a great job in the last year to put in the ground a course so we are just waiting to have a signature from the city to put in the ground some basket.

Hope some of you will be able to show up!

A BIG thanks goes out to all our brave warriors for doing battle with the tough elements! Big COLD winds made the discs turn over and never come back, made some guys throw into the ground in front of their feet too many times, made the flesh of Surge's drunken face freeze and slurry his words, made the Legend into a walking popsicle (Cold Man Walking), and made Mitch's brandy seem a communion with the god of frisbees! And a SPECIAL thanks goes to our travellers from the west--OMR and Surge from Ottawa, and Vince from somewhere inside the Quebec border!

Tournaments are about the people involved, and we had such a special crew!

Thanks guys for making me laugh so hard all day I forgot to shiver! I had an awesome time playing with all you guys!

Tough scoring yesterday, but some interesting results: Only Mitch, Vince and Surge scored better in the second round, and Surge's five birdies in round two was amazing!

There are 14 Peacock Tags left (only 25 will be made) and they are available until they run out. Contact Bib if you want in!

Until the next Peacock challenge, rest up, hoard those hand warmers, get a nice thermos that keeps Bailey's n' Coffee warm enuff, and dream of all them birdies in the field!

Thanks to all you guys for making the trip worthwhile. Awesome layout in such a beautiful park that one can only walk away envious. Bee thanks for keeping score throughout both rounds and keeping track of mine when I wasn't, thanks for donating your prize $ for rocket fuel. I forget who gave me food but thanks a bunch, the guy was a walking concession stand I tell ya. Being surrounded by those squirrels during half time was a little bit freaky though. Laughing always feels good and I felt great all day long...what wind? Like I said, I could have played some more and probably will make it back soon. Very Happy
