Carl can be quite illuminating.

Taking a cue, I ought to learn to use some of the emoticons.

And to answer a question with a question, did the description above sound like best disc?

A hardcore turnout of four players in the rain. The weather cleared up after about 4 holes, and we had the whole park to ourselves. Despite my grandiose format designs, the consensus was to play best disc, yellow tees, twice on the north side (both yellows) and once on the south side.

Results:

1. Shane Kilpatrick and Ken Darcovich -5
2. Geoff Rowland and Serge Séguin -1

Payout of $6 each to Shane and Ken.

No Aces, pool creeps up to $83.

Also, all my above "commentary" in this thread was not serious, but I suppose it appears that way without emoticons... big grin

Talking about different formats... Thursday League helped me i.d. flags this morning during the Opening Ceremonies...

I surprised people when I quickly identified the Macedonia flag... I was thinking... "Hey, that's the Macedonian Nines flag!"

...Or you can buy those cheap dollar store key chains , take them apart and tape up the battery with the lights...they're a dollar ! they also last the same amount of time..they just take a few minutes to put together. The few minutes I don't have , when I want to play disc Golf !

I prefer to buy key chain or dog collar lights and butcher them. After the plastic is removed and they are taped up they seem to work best. Look for a switch rather than a button and don't spend more tha $3.00. Last winter I went through a learning phase where i was buying every light I could get and trying something different. After about $30 in garbage I learned robust is best and weight/aero does not matter too much. I only tape champion plastic drivers and just use a wite putter. It helps to play with only two discs.

The Glocester center has an island gimick store that has dog lights for cheap. Works great but are heavy and bulky. I find those pen lights for fishing burn out and flicker on/off. Sometimes people use two or three of them.

Sorry for the rant, I am bored at work and thinking of DG. I miss heading out to the park for night rounds. It is time again.
