This week's Ice League will be hosted by Twirly out at The Shire, where we'll have a clear course laid out for us by Fidgety Baggins himself.

Bring yourself. Bring your dog. Bring some friends. All are welcome at Ice League, where Canadian Tire money is accepted at par.

Ice League: $6 if you have pre-paid for the Ice Bowl. Otherwise it's $8.

Ice Putt: $2 a round or 3 rounds for $5

Mulligan and SYN Cards will also be available for your pleasure.

Your top-7 results at Ice League and at the Ice Putt side contest get compared at the end of the season, and the players in that shaded section of the ranking will be awarded bonus Ice Bucks, for use at the Ice Auction.

All proceeds from Ice League and the Ice Bowl are donated to the Ottawa Food Bank.

With a keen eye on the weather forecast for tons of snow expected on the following day, 7 intrepid disc golfers ventured out to The Shire to play in Ice Bowl type conditions, where the temperature fell to around -17 Celsius without the wind chill factor. Brrrrrrr!!!!

Twirly had two teepads set up for us, and we played the shorts, followed by the longs at The Shire in Carp.

Claus was randomly selected to play on his own, and he took it to the rest of us while playing California Doubles beating everyone else who played in Best-Disc teams.

1. Claus Reitlingshoefer (-4), $21, 104 league pts
2. Twirly & OMR (-2), 98 league pts
3. Splash & Rolly (-1), 92 league pts
4. Roxie & Zonker, 87 league pts

Four of us remained after the round to compete in the Ice Putt competition, with Old Man River winning the round, and Splash almost losing use of his fingers on his non-throwing hand (the thumb still hurts!).

1. OMR (15 pts, 4 IP pts, 20 Ice Bucks, $4)
2. Twirly (13 pts, 3 IP pts)
3. Zonker (11 pts, 2 IP pts)
4. Splash (5 pts, 1 IP pt)

Nobody won the disc-bounty on the #9 station during the Ice Putt round, but it will be back again next week.

Claus also won the weekly CTP for the Godfather Card and an extra $20 Ice Bucks.

Next Saturday, we will be returning to Flat Mountain for the last time this year. I'll set up a different thread for it.

The ranking will be updated shortly, and when it is, it'll be available in the regular spot:
