The next Ice League event will be held out at Jeff Larivière's "Flat Mountain" course, which is near Mountain, ON.

Driving directions from most every direction are but a click away.

If you would like a lift to the course, it can easily be arranged. Just post in here and we'll set it up for you.

Especially welcome to the course this time will be the first-timers who have heard about the Flat Mountain course, but never ventured out there.

It features a wide variety of holes that will test your "A" game and given that it is an 18-hole tonal pole course, will give you a different challenge than what you might be accustomed to.

Given that last week's Ice League event in Orleans was a wash, due to forces outside our control, the cost for this week's Ice League remains the same for everyone: $6. After this weeks event, the entry will stay the same for anyone who has signed up for the Ice Bowl, and be $8 for non-registered players.

If you can make it, and either require a drive, or can offer one, please post in here so that I can set things up appropriately.

The Ice Putt design will be set up by 11:30, and registration will close for the Ice League around noon. If you're running late, just call me on my cell: 613.286.5233

[Oh yeah, and if you find yourself in the brush short of Hole 16, please take a moment to look for my 9-year old aged yellow Stingray... Thanks!]

See you all there!

I was contacted by two Ottawa U students who would like to come out to Ice League at OMR's course.

They are ulty players and would appreciate catching a ride with someone headed out that way. Both live in the Sandy Hill area.

Would anyone be able to give them a lift? Please let me know by e-mail at

don.lane AT rogers.com

and I'll get them in touch with you.

I'll have Zonker Rod and Darco in my car.

Still looking for that ride for two Ottawa U students, who'd really like to check out the Flat Mountain course and play in Ice League today...

Andros? Peaches? PowerSurge?

Anybody?...

Sorry Splash, I drove down to Cornwall for the day to winterize my car.
How was the turnout?

How does driving to Cornhole winterize a car?

The sun shined down upon everyone who was able to make it out to Flat Mountain, although not everyone was able to get there.

The ten people who did get there were randomly grouped in to 5 teams of two with the following results:

1. Claus & Langsie (-5), $15 each, 105 pts ea.
2. Rod & Rolly (-1), 99 pts ea.
3. Don & Ron (Even), 93 pts ea.
4. Ken & Kyle (+2), 88 pts ea.
5. OMR & Ben (+3), 83 pts ea.

We had 9 people try out the Ice Putt course, up to 3 times each, and the results were:

1= Langsie / Splash, 9 pts ea., $15 each, $10 Ice Bucks ea., (shot a 17)
3. Close, 7 pts ( shot a 16 )
4. Darco, 6 pts ( shot a 15 )
5. Rolly, 5 pts ( shot a ... )
6. OMR, 4 pts, ( shot a 10 )
7. Kyle, 3 pts, ( shot an 8 )
8= Rod & Ron, 2 pts. ea., ( shot a 3 )

The CTP was one by Splash, who earns a Godfather Card.

Our group would have appreciated more Mulligan Cards, but we'll all know better for the next time. A SYN at the right moment could make a world of difference!

The latest rankings are now posted for your info.

This upcoming Saturday, we'll be closer to the central part of our playing region, and will hold our Ice League and Ice Putt events at Jacques Cartier Park.

Remember, the first real "Snow Day" is worth double participation pts, and based on how many cars looked this morning on my way in to work, its snowing pretty close to us already....

More details on the format to be announced. See you for Ice Putt at JCP this Saturday at 11:30. Disc Central will be, as usual for Ice Leagues, near the #4 and #9 baskets.

Um didn't Roddy and Rolly win an Ice League a few weeks back?
How come they're paired up again?
Did the rules change?

While I was registering some late arrivals in the garage, the players who were there voted that they didn't want that rule this year... as long as its randomized, its all good.
