Both times I'm paired up with someone... it was random... ?

I'll play without keeping score no problem for me!!!

I'll have a summary of the past few events up soon, but at least the ranking is now up to date:

I need the world to change to a 28-hour day!

Actually, it said 7 at the beginning of this, the 7th year of our Ice Bowl tournaments, and then it said 6 for an update or two only recently when I applied the ranking upon a template I had from last year, our 6th annual event, where 6 events applied.

Next year, at our 8th Annual Ice Bowl, it's likely that the top-8 results will count, and the season will likely be a little longer.

Don,

I was under the impression only the top 6 events counted as well. All written documentation I've seen has said 6. I think its very poor form to change the rules 2 weeks before ice bowl.

As for next year having 8 events counting, it doesn't make sense to me. Your just excluding people from having a chance to be near the top of the list because of less than perfect attendance.

Participation is already rewarded in the current scheme (ie 6 events) in that only the top 6 results count. Top 6 of 10 (ie better attendance) is better than top 6 of 6.

Claus

It does say seven at the very begining of the thread. I thought it was six as well, but I didn't read it closely enough. I kinda agree with Claus though as I don't think it should increase along with the year.

6 is a nice #, gets a good share of the pool able to drop 1 poopy round. If its the same # each year then you can have all time pts records. Remember it is under 0C most of the season, have some freakng mercy Crying or Very sad the children... the children...

A very good question indeed. But really, what are the odds of an asteroid hitting the course? And in such a way that it takes out both the North side and the South side? Would said asteroid melt the snow? That would have a severe effect on the outcome of our Ice Bowl final stats. Jeese, if I wasn't worried before, I certainly am now. (We need a sweating Emoticon).

In my professional opinion, this is when I estimate we'll be into another Ice Age, and really, then we could have maybe 20 to 30 of your best rounds to count towards the final tally.

Well, Duh.

A meteor would be stealthy and undetectable as it fell from the sky, thereby making it hard to avoid.

A plane would be easy to dodge because you'd have lots of warning what with all the screaming coming from the burning fusilage.

P.S. What happens when you have zero rounds?
