This is the final evening of the 3rd quarterback challenge of the season. You will be seeded according to your quartback standing, and then by handicap. Quarterback standings currently are as follows:

Rank Last First 1st 2nd 3rd Total
1 Penton Geoff 52 60 - 112
2 Meldrum Jeff 56 59 - 115
3 Visser Carl 52 65 - 117

9 Myre Stephane 62 68 - 130
10 Leslie Robyne 68 76 - 144

As it stands now, 10 players are in the running for the quarterback challenge, and perfect attendance would see the formation of two payout pools, as follows (based on current median handicap of 10):

Pool A
Penton Geoff
Meldrum Jeff
Visser Carl
Wormald Rob
Rancourt Marc
Lane Don

Pool B
Bourgeois Paul
Vinet Eric
Myre Stephane
Leslie Robyne

We hope to see you next Tuesday. New players are always welcome!

Oh, I like it again. Playing the short stuff at Fortune can make some crazy scores.

Some Questions:

arrow On #2 do we play the "shorts" that was made for the OD? Or do we just play the regular Tee?

arrow On #3 do we play the "shorts" for the OD (at the base of the hill) or do we play the original "shorts", up on the hill?

arrow On #4, is it an island, or just long OB, or play as it lies?

arrow Am I right in assuming that the following Tees don't have 2 Tee pads: #1, #4, #6, #11, #14, #15, #17?

Regular Tee. OD Tour mods were for that tourney only.

Original shorts.

I believe Jeff M. has decided that long is OB, all else is in play. As the course GM, he sets the guidelines.

I'll have to defer to Jeff M.

A note on water: All water at Camp Fortune is casual except the creek on holes 16 and 17, where the water is OB. If you are in casual water, you may play it where it lies, or take relief in accordance with the rules. If you are in the creek you are OB and must add a stroke and take one meter relief from the point that the disc went OB.
From the TD: No 2m rule at Camp Forunte (if you are in the trees, it's punishment enough).

Edit: Camp Fortune water clarification.

Hmmmm.... I've spoken with the guys who have adopted #1 (Claus) and #15 (Arthur), and they're working on plans for alternate tees on those holes.

Those tees probably aren't ready to become "official" yet, but I'm sure they'll be in contact with Jeff-M shortly, if they haven't already.

I'm assuming they'll be ready for the CC - at which time many people will play them and learn them.

The weather glorification channel predicts a 40% pop this afternoon and chance of T-storm. This likely means that it will be cloudy over of the city and nice and sunny at Fortune. I'm looking forward to a nice round of DG this evening. See you at the hill at around 6:00. We'll close registration at 6:15 and aim to start before 6:30. Good luck, QB challengers, and remember:

Your name does not have to appear in the quarterback list or the handicap list for you to come out and participate in the Tuesday night round. New players are always welcome, and now would be a GREAT chance for you to play Camp Fortune if you haven't played the course before. Bring good shoes (hiking shoes or boots are best), and we'll see you in the parking lot below the chairlift (not in front of the lodge).

Cheers!
