Week 8 of the Tuesday Ottawa Singles Series sees us returning to Camp Fortune to enjoy another challenging round from the long teepads.

This will be week two of the third Quarterback Challenge of the season, and cards will be seeded in quartile order according to your handicap.

Registration closes at 6:30 sharp. Allow some extra commute time in your schedule in order to get to the course well ahead of that time. Registration fees are the same as always: Members with handicaps $6, all other players regardless of membership status $3.

New players are always welcome on Tuesday nights. We would really like to have you join us. Just be sure to wear good shoes when you come to play at Camp Fortune. Hiking shoes are best.

I don't think you give yourself enough credit, Mr. S!
If you look at who's behind you, you'll find that they are players that you routinely finish ahead of.
Player handicaps, unlike the PDGA ratings, represent your "threat factor" for a round of golf because they are based on the best 50% of your rounds.
Even I can beat Don Lane unibrow (sorry, Don, bad karma coming my way, I know Neutral ), and I would think that you are otherwise in really good company with where you are positioned.
Perhaps you'll join us on Tuesday at Camp Fortune for a round?

Any Given Sunday... Smile

Paul brings his "A" game on the one-on-one challenges, and seems to have some extra zeal when that game is against me. C'est la vie!

I'm available for tag, ladder, or Dépanneur challenges at your convenience... name the time and place. Cool

I would LOVE to make it out to Fortune Tuesday.. absolutely love it! ... I haven't been out because I was playing ultimate on tuesday nights, but I just left that team this week so my tuesday might be open... i hope! however, my playing abilities are not up to snuff this year as i've been out twice inclusing WB, so i might be a bit rusty. either way, tuesday nights sound fun... is there a link for the directions for fortune, I have no idea where i'm going, i've only been there once for maceman doubles last year. (great night by the way!!!)

It's just for the rights to say, "I beat the PDGA rep at his own game."

Conquerer of the PDGA rep. Now, there's a title that those grade 6 kids would have really liked. I may not be the national champion, but I did beat the professional rep once. cool

...more than once. I imagine you've beaten me, too. I am a PDGA rep, too. I have the business cards and golf shirt to prove it!

Razz

I'll see how it goes at Staces to decide weather or not I can handle fortune.... Stacies is one grade worse than JCP and better than Fortune in terms of hobbly ground... The cows munch it down pretty good.

As Mr. Meldrum would say, "it's going to be spicy wet meatball out there today." Or some kind of meatball that's wet and mouillé.
