TOSS Week 7
Jacques Cartier Park Yellow Teepads
Conditions: Partly Cloudy
Temp: 19C
Winds: 10-15km/hr

15 people spent an excellent evening at Jacque Cartier Park playing a round of disc golf from the yellow teepads.

I would like to extend a special welcome to Mark Beasley, who joined us while visiting from Charlotte, North Carolina. It was great to have you with us tonight, Mark!

This week was the start of the third Quarterback Challenge of the season, so the Quarterback Standings are the same as tonight's gross scores. Tonight's scores were:

Place Last First Gross
1 Rancourt Marc 51
2 Penton Geoff 52
2 Visser Carl 52
4 Reitlingshoefer Claus 54
5 Beasley Mark 55
5 Wormald Rob 55
7 Meldrum Jeff 56
8 Svetkoff Ben 57
9 Bourgeois Paul 58
9 Vinet Eric 58
11 Lane Don 60
12 Leach Andrew 61
12 Schnobb Gavin 61
14 Myre Stephane 62
15 Leslie Robyne 68

Right up there with the low gross, was Marc Rancourt with the low net of the evening. Marc took home top honours of the evening, and $20. Ben Svetkoff and Stephane Myre tied for 2nd place in the low net, and earned $10 each for their excellent rounds this evening. The complete list:

Place Last First Handicap Gross Net
1 Rancourt Marc 9 51 42
2 Svetkoff Ben 14 57 43
2 Myre Stephane 19 62 43
4 Penton Geoff 7 52 45
4 Visser Carl 7 52 45
4 Wormald Rob 10 55 45
7 Reitlingshoefer Claus 8 54 46
7 Bourgeois Paul 12 58 46
7 Schnobb Gavin 15 61 46
7 Leslie Robyne 22 68 46
11 Vinet Eric 10 58 48
12 Lane Don 10 60 50
13 Meldrum Jeff 5 56 51

Next week sees us taking advantage of the maximum evening daylight of the season as we play the first of three rounds in a row at Camp Fortune. I'll have updated handicaps posted in the next couple of days.
Marc, Ben, and Stephane, don't hesitate to tell us how you felt about your round.

I had a slow start to the round because I didn't have time to get a warm up in. I ended up bogying 2 of the first 3 holes but then my putter got hot later in the round. I managed to get a "Turkey" as Carl pointed out to me... three birdies in a row. It actually ended up being 5 birdies over 6 holes(birdies- #11,12,14,15,16... #13-par)

I missed a stupid short put on #17 for par. Does anybody else find that hole tough to put on? Carl and I were talking about that basket and it's almost like there's so much space around it that it's hard to get a read on the distance or something... no reference point. Anyway, despite a slow start it ended up pretty good. Thanks to Don, Carl, and Hobbler for a fun round. (Despite all of us hitting trees on #10!)

I've never liked putting at the baskets in the open for exactly the same reason. It just feels smaller. At least when you drive on #17, you're never truly "off line". There is no line.

big grin

Remember when par on 14, 15, 16 were good? Good job on 16. That's not a gimmie at all.
