JCP, 6:15 pm sign-in, golfing at 6:30 pm.

Format will be ADV-INT doubles, "Colombian Roulette".

Briefly the details are:

Each player must play from exactly 6 of each tee colour. A player and his partner may not tee from any same tee.

One mulligan on drives only, allowed per tee colour.

If a putt is missed, a player may elect to try the putt again. If the re-try is successful, only one putt is counted, if the re-try also misses, both attempts are counted and the player still must complete the hole. One such episode per player per hole allowed.

Combined score.

Other notes: please try to bring exact change.

LOW TURNOUT: The arrival of the Tuesday League has seriously reduced attendance for Thursdays. If the turnout doesn't improve, some of the Thursday players have mentioned that they'll switch to Tuesdays, which would effectively kill Thursday doubles. If there are a couple more weeks of low (or even lower) turnout, I may consider abandonning operation of the Thursday league.

I think that it's still a little early. Things will pick up now that the weather is getting better. But you're right, attendance might be a little lower than last year.

First one was a sens games. Second one had slightly bad weather. last night ... well I don't know. It should pick up though...

A better turnout of 10 players last night, the first Thursday with calm wind conditions. A good round of Colombian Roulette was enjoyed, et le club souhaite la bienvenue à Gilles Despaties, a first time player.

Results:

1. Craig Pinches and Ken Darcovich -9
2. Robyne Leslie and Carl Visser +1
T3. Stéphane Myre and Eric Vinet +4
T3. Paul Bourgeois and Chris Burgoin +4
5. Kevin Ouellette and Gilles Despaties +9

Payout of $13.50 each to Craig and Ken.

No Aces, pot moves up to $27.

A fun evening with a technical format. Boy did I ever pick the stinker holes, and then followed it up by playing really bad frolf. REALLY bad. Highlights of my night: warm weather, and being mocked by Kevin and Gilles for recommending teepads that were totally garbage. They'll never listen to me again. Embarassed

Highlights of the night: Good times all around, and seeing soooo many people at the course. Why aren't you guys playing league night?

So are we.....

I like your new Tuesday thing Paul, and with the drive in from Arnprior, we have to choose 1 night a week that we can come in to and Tuesday wins.

We have a great time and love the challenge and the way the handicaps make it a nice even and fun night for all.

Very Happy
