Good Day Everybody!

Way back when, a dude from NY state left us this message on OF (follow link, please).

Is anyone interested in making a trip to this tourny? I don't wanna go alone...I'm scared of new people...

If you're interested, email me or we can chat at the Plaid this weekend where I will be the best-dressed player.

Looking forward to seeing everyone tomorrow morning! Woo hoo!

edit: messed-up ubb code

Andrew

Dogface Boy has been talking about getting a group together and heading down for the day. Its still in the planning stages but it sounds like a good time.

I've been in touch with the organizers, and I will bring some entry forms with me to the Plaid Jacket.

If our group is able to get back on Saturday evening, I would be interested.

G'day,

After visiting the Gov of Canada website for travel advisories, I must pull out of this fine road trip as I do not have a passport (stolen in the spring ). One does not need a passport but it would making entering th U.S. and returning home that much easier.

Here is part of what the advisory said:

quote:
Canadians travelling to and from the United States may experience difficulties entering, transiting, and/or returning if they do not possess valid photo identification and proof of citizenship. A valid Canadian passport is the most assured identification both for entry into the United States and re-entry to Canada. All carriers (notably airlines, but also Amtrak and Greyhound) have tightened their policies concerning passengers' proof of admissibility into Canada. Since birth and baptismal certificates, for example, do not have photographs, they are no longer accepted by airline companies without accompanying valid photo identification. Even carriers that have transported Canadians from Canada to the United States on round-trip tickets have refused to return them to Canada without valid photo identification and proof of Canadian citizenship. Many travellers have had to contact the Canadian Embassy or nearest consulate in the United States for assistance. Consular officials have to verify documentation with either provincial or federal authorities, which involves further delays.

The full report can be found here

Andrew

Hello fellow Canadians

I do hope that you decide to throw some plastic at the ARC Invitation Tourney at Oxbow Falls (Canastota, NY). Take care.
