The 8th Edition of the Pelican Cup will be held this Saturday, July 29, 2017, at Ettyville. The final roster for Team ODGC has finally been settled and I am pleased to announce our roster.

Team ODGC
Andrew Vallee (C)
Geoff Penton (A)
Ken Darcovich
Steve Pike
Eric Vinet
Claus Reitlingshoefer
Carl Visser
Alex Wierdsma

Dan Phillips (sub)
Mario Houle (sub)

Team ADGM
Jovin Daigneault (C)
Richard sauvé (A)
Eric Tremblay
Paulo Cesar
Charles Blanchette
Ken Horth
Maxime Lemay
André Robin

Jonathan Montagne (sub)
Joseph Racicot (sub)

The Pelican Cup is a team match play event with the ODGC challenging the ADGM for the title. Montreal won the event last year by a small margin. We're aiming to reclaim the title this year.

The Pelican format is as follows:

Round 1, 4 best disc doubles matches, Pro tees, holes 1-9.
Round 2, 4 alternate shot doubles matches, Pro tees, holes, 10-18.
Round 3, 4 best score doubles matches, Mid tees, holes 19-27.
Lunch break.
Round 4, 8 singles matches, Mid tees (1,2,4,5,6,7,8,9,11,13,15,16,20,21,23,24,26,27)

A total of 20 matches.

1 match point for winning a match, 0.5 for a draw, so 10.5 match points needed to take the Cup.

I encourage local disc golfers to come out to Ettyville on the 29th to hopefully witness some good competitive disc golf, and also to lend their support to our team.
