Here’s the HISTORY of how this event unfolded...Going into Thanksgiving, I heard that #OttawaFoodBank is not in the shape it would like. Shelves are empty. #ODGC supports them through Winter league and other events and it would be good to help them now. Come and play a great NEW pop-up course around my home on 2 lakes just 8 minutes south of Rideau Carleton Raceway in Osgoode/Greely.

The tournament is a 50/50 charity split, supporting both the Food Bank and the Royal Ottawa. 100% of the $20 tournament fee is going 50/50 to Food Bank and the Royal. We’re all pitching in on food to be ordered for delivery in advance...the order needs to be done by Thursday at 4pm. It’ll be the same awesome italian sandwiches we enjoyed at Mooney’s Bay, plus some snacks/deserts etc. That will be $10 each for a total of $30.

Don Lane has been helping immensely and he can vouch for the quality and setting through the open, grassy and tight and technical forested, well-maintained parks surrounding the lakes. We’ve scoped the full course(Long/Shorts, some Pros) and scorecards are ready. Many thanks to Don. ANDROS is also lending a hand in miraculous ways. Thanks Andrew. This is both a challenging and fun course for all, and even for the big guns. Best of all, it will be for 2 important causes. A course map with more details will be posted in the next week or so. As the NSA is watching me, I won’t be posting my civic address. I’ll email that to you in an encrypted format. Come out, have some fun and help the causes and this new course take flight.

Proposed format
6 women (4 booked)
6 Intermediate (4 booked)
12 Open (6 booked)
6 Groups/Cards of 4

Apres tournament fire pit, live music, camping on site is permitted.

TWIN LAKES UPDATE: 14 Signed up (see below) as of Oct. 25. Registered players. Women - 4 confirmed (2 maybe). Men - 10 confirmed (10 maybe) for a total of 24. That means if all show, there are only 5 more spaces for the cap at 24. Let me know soon if you’re in. Map is underway and almost ready. It’s gonna be a good day.

Thanks again for putting this on. I had a blast and would do it again for sure. Loved the back 10 holes.
