Interesting...I am maybe. What time is reasonable to leave in the morning if you are going for the day trip?

We usually try to leave the city by 6am. Though I live in the Southend.

Good to know, that means about 5:40 ish from Kanata.

Would it be be uncouth to register AM1, I really don't want PDGA money.

Yes


You can play any division you wish to, but ask yourself these questions:

Have you ever won an event? Which one?
There's no shame in winning. I jumped right into AM1 (never played AM2) and never won an AM1 event. Players need to learn how to win. No shame winning an event. You won't be sandbagging.


Is the issue the +$10?
If it's $$, then the decision is made for you. Play AM.


What kind of competition are you looking for?
The quality of quality play and etiquette tends to go up as you jump up the divisions. There should be a standard of decorum at the upper levels (this standard should be around every time we start the round by handing $$ over to someone). Hopefully more players will play by the PDGA rules.
