Shire Green fees are $5, and are to be paid by the player directly to the Shire.
Exact change appreciated.
TOSS season passes will be available from the TD this week. You can pre-purchase entry into all 18 TOSS 2016 events for $75, a savings of $15. | | This week's TD: Claus Reitlingshoefer |
Details about TOSS 2016 [3]:- The field is open to a maximum of 27 players. Pre-register to guarantee your spot!
- TOSS is operating an Ace Pool as a fundraiser for Club Events. $2.00 gets you in the pool, with $1.00 from each entry going to the fundraising efforts. Ace pools not won carry over to the following week's TOSS event. The current payout value for the pool stands at $26, meaning an ace at TOSS 3 will win you up to $53
- Directions to The Shire: From the 417, take Carp Rd Exit North off the Queensway. Turn Left at lights on to Richardson Side. Go to the end, at the stop sign turn Right on to Beavertail. Go to the end and left on to Old Amonte Rd. The Shire is at 3489 Old Amonte Rd. look for the Baskets on the right side. Count on 50 minutes from downtown Ottawa given traffic on the highway.
- Allow time for traffic in your commute to the Shire.
- This event takes place at the Ultimate Disc Golf Store warehouse: You'll be in one of the best places in Canada to pick up all of the plastic that you need to replace after a season of great disc golf.
- If you haven't paid for your 2016 ODGC membership yet, members of the ODGC executive committee will be on hand to receive your fees / dues at the Shire.
Please note the following information regarding course layout and Out of Bounds:
- Out of Bounds: All driveways, all roads, East of the line of trunks that make up the hedge on hole 8 (this also applies to those attempting to throw the reverse on 3 Longs. YOUR DRIVE MUST CROSS THIS PLANE TO BE IN-BOUNDS), all gardens, all rooftops, anywhere on the pool deck or in the pool, inside the barn or garage. Long grass IS NOT out of bounds.
- 2 meter rule IS in effect.
Special thanks to Rob Wormald and the Ultimate Disc Golf Store for hosting another TOSS event at this private course. We love The Shire (well, okay, maybe BBP doesn't...  ).

They do:
If all twelve players who qualify for the QB challenge participate next week, there would be three pools. I know for a fact that I won't be there, and I am 101% sure Darko isn't going to be there, so there will be two pools of five next week:
POOL A:
Last/First/Cumulative Score
Reitlingshoefer, Claus 100
Prange, Cyle 101
Penton, Geoff 101
Weirdsma, Alex 102
Doucette, Rob 103
POOL B:
Lariviere, Jeff 108
Hale, Rob 114
James, Aaron 115
Berenbaum, Matt 123
Foster, Neil 125
If one Pool A player and one Pool B player are absent, there is no change to the pools.
If one of the five Pool A players is absent, but all Pool B players are there, Aaron James moves up.
If two of the five Pool A players are absent, but all Pool B players are there, Aaron James moves up.
If two of the five Pool B players are absent, but all the Pool A players are there, Alex Weirdsma moves down.
If any three players or more are absent, the QB challenge drops to a single pool of all present players.
