|
|
Been getting a few contacts about how dry Ettyville is. I went around the front 9 last night and am surprised how wet it still is. The back nine is pretty dry.
Bugs are out now too.
If we get all this rain this week it'll be a wet weekend. If it stays away it'll be decent.
Grass is already getting ready for a cut.
Good time to look for discs. I found 3 from the midnight OD round. Probably many more. |

I played a round from the mids this past Saturday and the course looked great and is drying up nicely. (no goretex needed)
Get out there folks and experience this amazing destination. _________________ Hyzer enthusiast |

Thanks Dros!!
Yes place is dry. Course is also getting grooming done in preparations for the Championship June 14th. Decent time to play it. |

Up to something new on the course. Something to pass the time while it dries up.

Depends on the weather. Won't be a flood like last year as we don't have the same amount of snow but typically #5 green is a little island.
I can let you know though. |

Going to be working in the bush on Saturday. If you like work and burning stuff you are more then welcome to come on out and hang out. We're attempting to build 5 new holes in the bush these days.

Hey Adam,
It is drying up and the back nine would be decent but I don't have any baskets and didn't put any tonals up yet. I have 18 new baskets coming so we should be good in a couple weeks to a month.
Stand by and stay tuned.
Cheers. John |

Baskets should arrive this week. I'm getting excited.
I'm hoping to get some time to start installing them this weekend.
It's my busy time trying to get all that OB corn planted for everyone.
Many have been asking and offering help so please stay tuned.

Baskets arrived yesterday. They are sweet looking. Can't wait to get them out on the course.

Going to work on the course on Monday May 18th and try and get some baskets installed. Any help would greatly be appreciated.
Does anybody know where the pipe was bought for the club baskets that were at my place? I'm wanting to get some 1.5" diameter pipe to drive into the ground for the new baskets to sit on. |

Pipe, or T-Bars? It may be easier to drive T-Bar into the ground. Alternately, collars in concrete would be awesome, if you don't plan on moving the baskets around once installed. _________________ Go Sens! |

I should double check on t-bar actually. The club baskets didn't stand straight with t-bar but the inside diameter was bigger on those poles. They were not as thick. T-Bar could be easier.
Either way it's going to be a bit of a crap show with the poles and collars that I have until I figure something out. |

Looks like we'll be laying pipe this weekend....
I went with Surges contact and we are picking up 18 x 7.5 foot poles. Hopefully they work. Hopefully we put them in the right places because moving them is going to be harder now.
I've had some people ask about what time on Monday. I plan to be at it all day so any time after 8 am. Baskets are all in my garage and will need to be assembled. We can tractor them out in bunches to install them. The plan is to put the original 18 course in. I still have tonals so we can always throw them in for some of the new holes that are being built for testing purposes.
Hopefully the weather cooperates. |
