Some dude (Jake) phoned my parents house today and left a message that he found my disc. A Cyclone.

The phone he left to call back had a 702 area code. Nevada.

I called him and he said he was playing Sunset Park and he walked up the basket he was playing and there it was. In the basket.

Some more information:

I haven't owned or thrown a Cyclone since the 90s.
I haven't used my parents number on a disc since the 90s.
I have never played in Nevada.
My discs get around more than I do.

And...

did you email him ten bucks for shipping costs, or did you tell him he
could keep the cyclone ?

Told him to do whatever he wishes. I gave him some options: give it away, use for strength training, a new water disc, or use in a peyote induced ritual.

Are you sure? Sometimes even the memories that happen in Vegas stay in Vegas.

For what it's worth, Rolly has played disc golf in Nevada.

I've played that course as well. My only drivers back then were a leopard and beast I think.

I was in Vegs for Haloween one year and they have a big PDGA tournament that weekend. I played a round iin front Steve Rico on the Friday when they were practicing. That guy was ripping like 600 foot rollers.

There's a story out there with S. Rico throwing his entire bag into the course pond and ripping his putters into pieces.

I wonder if that disc made its way down there courtesy of the #$&*#&$ who dove in to the Ottawa River by old Hole #1 at JCP the day before the date I had posted that I was looking for others to join me to recover discs.

That guy pulled about 30 discs from the water and tried to sell them back to us, after which he was told where to go and we ran him out of town.

Some of my favourite discs of time time were in there... hope karma bit him well over the years.

That story also reminded me of Stacie's disc that I found in PEI at Hillcrest, where she has yet to ever play. I'll give that one back to her at the Plaid.
