I've bee asked what their flight ratings are and this is what I've concluded.

The Innova Firebird was used for inspiration for the Ogopogo, as Daredevil worked on getting a good wind disc; they did it. It is similar to the Firebird, but there are some differences.

The Ogopogo seems to be a tad more understable at the beginning of its flight, but it is much more overstable at the end of its flight when compared to a Star Firebird. Because of the -1 Turn (compared to a 0 Turn) it seems to have more glide to it.

A Firebird's rating is 9 3 0 4

I would put the Ogopogo at 9 4 -1 5

I am not on expert on rating numbers, and couldn't have come up with these without comparing the Firebirds.

I have a well beat-on Ogo that players can take for a test flight or two.

Daniel-san's quote in my sig is about the Ogopogo.

...and no, that's not a sharpie signature on the disc. That's the stamp! The first time Daredevil has ever stamped a DG disc on the bottom.

Some other firsts for this disc:

First overstable/wind disc from Daredevil.
First driver in the Woodchuck/Canadian Monster plastic.
First Daredevil DG disc in pink.

Are these going on sale at Grosse Coupe? Before or after the tourney?

It will be like ODGC Blitzkrieg if we keep these to ourselves until after
the competition...

I am bringing them to the Gross Cup. I will take out discs for Ottawa (and past Ottawa Wink ) players for when I see them next.

I just re-read this sentence. It would be hilarious if I kept them to Ottawa players until after the event. Especially in the rain. laughing

But my desire to get them out into bags will probably win out.

They are being legalized as we speak. So I guess these are still considered a prototype run. They will PDGA approved. (good thing the Gross Cup, LNF, Plaid and Falling Colours are all not PDGA events)

When Daredevil dropped off the Ogo, they also left me a couple of 174 gram Polar Bears. Wow. These rock.

They also left a 265 gram Moose with me!!

I can't even begin to imagine how heavy that would feel.

Very.

Daredevil used a material advertised as the plastic that Gateway uses to increase the weight in their discs. It's really heavy.

I wonder if it would have a use as a training tool.

Guts in "Hard Core" mode

I would worry about hurting myself throwing that thing

I think there is a strong possibility that you would hurt yourself.
