Question.

What is the difference between a sport and a game? Is hockey a sport or a game? Or both?

Are Darts a sport that you use to play different games(ie. cricket, around the clock, etc...)

Discuss.

Sports you should sweat.

Games you should think, and have less energy expelled.

IE; Hockey your givin' er' and if your not, your a plug, get off the ice...

Chess your using your brain muscles. Darts same thing, except it has fine motor skill dexterity.

In regards to darts and chess not really much physical movement in either, both I find are more mind over matter.

Then why don't people say, "Hey, you going to the hockey sport tonight?"

This is my opinion.

Mind over matter = Game

Matter over mind = Sport

Some consider hunting and fishing a sport or even dating.

It's still a game, sports require more physical attributes

IE Big, Strong, Fast

I'd say that's a phrase that has just been used over time

"I hunt for sport"

Now consider some of the fisherman on the dock casting to get some catch and toss back bass or perch or pike. Compare those to the guys in the twin 250 HP fishing boats, blasting through a full $300 dollar tank of fuel to catch a 8-12 LB fish to win a tournament.... That's taking fishing to a "Sport" level

So I guess it depends on what you do and what level it would be considered

Sport involves competition.

Game involves stuctured play which does not neccesarily have competition in it.

One could argue that two individuals at the pub are partaking in a game of darts...

While two individuals at the World Dart Championships are partaking in the sport of darts.

Darts and Discgolf aren't all that different physically. They both require body mechanics.

Game is also what hunt when you hunt but that is neither here nor there.
