For anyone interested in forming a peloton to get to the course, I would invite you to meet me at the war museum at about 4:00-4:15. PM me for rendezvous details. I plan to cover the approx. 22 km to the course in about one hour, and would welcome anyone else interested in taking the bike paths to get there.

Why in the hell are we still dealing with this? I agree with Andros. The 2 M rule is really dumb. No idea why any TDs think this adds to the "danger" of the round

It's a historical hold-over from past events at Kanata. I may consider dropping it for next year. Will have to think about it. For now, if you don't want to be penalized, don't throw in the trees.

I disagree.

Some leeway is given within 2 meters. Lucky it isn't "if your disc isn't touching the ground, you must take a drop within a meter"

I'm a ball golfer too though, similar rules apply, but I find disc is much more forgiving on rules such as this one.

Indeed. I choose my throws with utter disregard for the 2 m rule, with the
attitude that even if I hit trees, there are really low odds of getting stuck
in the branches.

Should I succumb to the penalty, I am left in a state of extreme annoyance,
heavily steeped in petulance.
