Hey All,

Quick question, if I am entered in AM2 and I am the only AM2 player, what happens to CTP's and tournament winnings?

I got duped in the Big Man and had an AM2 CTP, however Bevy (who was AM1) tied with me. However, the groups got merged as there was only Spike and myself in AM2 and Sparrow I believe.

Let me know, I'm not a pro level contestant yet, but I still am gunning for Top Raw Score!

Kid.

Currently there are no CTP's so no need to worry about them. Sorry but just not the time or resources to come up with stuff. Probably with a small event like this I would put the CTP(s) open to everyone and on the short par 3's only.

AM2 winnings. There are none. It's a fundraiser event. Cash is set and only pays out to top 3 in the divisions above AM2. I ordered trophies but at the time there was only 10 people registered so I order 4 trophies. Top 3 in the championship and top lady. No AM2 trophy or divisional trophies.

AM2 comes into play for an ODSA qualifying position.

I'm not sure what condition Bevy was in at the Shire but if you beat him you are probably getting ready to look past AM2 locally.

yeah, sandbagger.

So what of entering the AM1 event?

Maybe Briggs needs some new competition! Cool

You should read the information under the poster again. wink

but jsut in case I'll say it again. Everybody outside of AM2 is in the same division for the purpose of the championship and you'll be carded together. Those cats are in for the cash or optional merch payout.

For the purpose of ODSA qualifiers people will be scored within their division. Top AM1 gets a spot. Top MPO, etc, etc.

Being that it's not PDGA I'm able to have people in multiple divisions so to speak.

AM2 players are in a different division for the only reason that won't have to play the long tee's at Ettyville.

and yes. What OMR said. lol

Are there really only 4 of us from Montreal coming?

I cannot tell you how unplugged this disc golf community is. Our forum has even more crickets than yours, and I never heard the thunder of silence more than in here!

I dunno if folks talk about disc golf here. I know with the Q-Tour there is NO reason why any Quebec player should travel somewhere where they do not even have the decency to speak French.

Ouch, you paint with a wide brush my good sir.

It bugs me, and it must bug the crap outta youse, that there is no love for Ontario disc golf in Quebec, outside of a very few intrepid souls.

*Intrepid, adj, according to Bee's Knee's it means blunted from blunt force trauma.

Oh yeah, they love it when you guys come. You guys are the rock stars of the community. Penton walks on water here.

Tabernak with the hair and the chinstrap he looks messianic.

Carl throws a bomb like they've never seen before, and Rolly and Thumber are throwing the most bizarre knuckleballers.

And yet they don't come to your house and ask to play with your dollies.

Ah well, carry on lads and ladies. Pytel puts on a tremendous show every time! I'm looking forward to this!

Yah boi!

lol. Good rant Bee!

Currently 32% of the people coming are from Quebec proper so I'm jazzed about that. Especially when this event is on the same date as a QDGT event, unfortunate as that is.

The good times that disc golf brings will break down any barriers. If somebody wants to go to the Worlds they have to have the decency of speaking the host language so I don't buy all that stiff shirtedness.

I think the good news is that we'll have 70 plus golfers playing in the 2 events. Hopefully we'll see great numbers at the Camp Fortune QDGT stop.

The Ottawa region has some great courses that complement each other with their differences. Worth trying out for sure. Just like how discgolfers of different sex, race, language, and religion complement each other.

If anything the observation can be made that only 14 east Ontario disc golfers are playing in total in both events. I know we've got more golfers then that but I also know people would be out throwing if they could. Can't have it all.
