The December 14th Ice League is shaping up to be a very special Mountain Christmas. We will have two houses on the block, special guests, bartender, and just maybe a big fire. I will also be organizing a Secret Santa gift exchange. Details to follow.

Conditions down here are perfect. A little bit of snow but not enough to need ribbons. The pond is solid and very nice for skating if you want to bring skates feel free. There will be a fire to keep warm by and im sure we will be ordering some pizza after the round. As always everyone is welcome to stick around after and enjoy the fire and some beverages.

I am going out to check the beaver pond this aft and see if we can put a couple holes out there. Maybe change it to a 10 hole layout with a couple of long fairly open holes for a change down here

You can bring your dog. Just be mindful that I have 2 dogs and one of them can be aggressive with other dogs. He is a rescue and has some strange triggers. 95% of the time he is fine but I feel I should give you fair warning.

I can always put my dog inside if he starts acting like a dick.

Put you inside where its warm? Hell no.

We'll tie you up outside and take your smokes away.

This topic got a little off track from 1 comment

I checked out the beaver pond and its great out there. I am going to grab some sand bags and try and make a couple grippy tee pads. Those holes will be a game time decision.

Does anyone else have a good grip option for icy tees?

If its a go out there I think ill donate some plastic to a long drive challenge on one of those holes.

Par would change from 57ish to 61-63ish depending on how hard I make those holes

It is supposed to be quite cold out on Saturday so I will put a couple of flasks of whiskey out on the course as warm ups. *Whiskey always helps my game

*whiskey never helps

Dan, personally I would refrain from having a tee or a dg hole on your beaver pond, its just setting people up to fall whether they are on the tee or walking/throwing up the fairway. (esp. if there's whiskey involved)

It is your course however so I'll let you make the call.

There is good crunchy snow on top of the ice. I went out and tried to throw a few yesterday afternoon and walking around out there was fine. I was concerned with multiple people playing from the same spot and the snow being pushed aside.

Like I said it will be a game time decision. If I cant make it safe enough then we will stick to the normal course.
