I like that.^^^

Love this chart. I went through the UDGS box and cross referenced what I learned from throwing them and the chart. Pretty neat.

Somehow, that description makes me want to try throwing a DX-Whippet X.

Of course, they are selling discs after all, and the indirect approach is probably a better bet with customers like me.

Initial testing has determined that this is a flippy disc.

Was that the disc you used on hole 1 (hole 10), 2nd shot?

I was trying out an S-Line Discmania PD (Freak) at VMP on Sat.
http://www.discmania.net/products/pd-freak/

Nice disc, feels like a Firebird in your hand but obviously not nearly as stable.
The S line plastic was firm but still grippy in the cold, I'd like to try one in their C-line.

Also I'm still loving my P2 (Psycho) putter for approaches and off the tee shots.

I parked the island hole (VMP 8 ) twice with it. thumbsup

No wonder it felt like a Firebird:

From DGCR:
Quote:
Here's a quick rundown in bullet form:
-Made by Innova for Discmania
-Dismania "anhyzer top" combined with Firebird bottom wing
-Available in P(pro), S(star), and C(champion) line plastics
-P is neutral/slightly understable, S has slight high speed turn and strong fade, C is most overstable, though these are generalizations with exceptions
-Speed and range put it in between fairway and distance drivers
-Can fly great distance lines for power throwers, yet powers down (especially when seasoned) incredibly well

And they finally arrived. I miss the days of Frisbee Rancher.

I won't be getting out to throw them any time soon, but from first feel and weigh in I'm happy. They all claimed to be 171g, and I wanted them to come in at around 172g and they did. The Chaos (PD2) are dead on exact and the Freaks (PD) are off by .2g, so that's tremendous and worth the wait.

I can see the PD similarities to the Firebird, but the nose of the Firebird is thicker. I like the feel of the PD. Great colour too.

Read this tidbit on Marshall Street:

Marshall St wrote:
We've all been warned by Innova's announcements that this isn't a disc for everybody, that this disc takes power and arm speed and intelligence and good looks to throw.

Well, that's not true. All you need is a good imagination, so you can imagine yourself having all these qualities.

And then you buy this disc, and it hyzers out like a twin-engine plane with a bird stuck deep in the carburetor. But you've still got the brand new P-Line Chaos in your bag, and that alone says something.

Funny. I'm hoping for at least 2 out of 3.

Love the plastic.

More thoughts.

The bottoms of the PDs are the Firebird, and I'm 99.9% sure that the bottoms of the PD2s are Destroyers. And because the Firebird and Destroyer have the same diameter, 21.1 cm, you can use the same top for both, and from some serious visual checks, it looks like the PD and PD2 have the same top.

And the top is some other Innova product as it's stamped with the Innova raised website and info.

The Chaoses are very sharp, but the Destroyers are not? Why? The line where the Destroyer should be sharp is there, but it's not sharp. It's like Innova sanded down the Destroyers but didn't do it for Discmania? (Why would a disc manufacturing company let another disc manufacturer make their discs for them, using parts of the other manufacturers discs?!?)

Also in that order, I ordered 4 Aviar Glowies. 3 are the same and one is very different: different plastic, different colour, different top plate and different nose. The top plates don't even have the same words on the bottom. Not the same disc.

My 10th Anniversary Midnight Buzzz, has the word "WASP" stamped on the inside of the rim. I'm emailing Discraft for answers on this one, cause the disc that is being used to celebrated 10 years of the Buzzz should probably not say "WASP" on it. Should it?

Wouldn't it be best if they just made 4 rims, and 4 tops, all in the same diameter and sold them in whatever combinations you wished?
