What a great time today, and it actually felt like winter!

I love the LNF layout.

The first Ice League of the 2013-2014 season held at Camp Fortune
(LNF edition) brought out a strong showing of 23 participants.

In true IL fashion we were greeted with the first snowfall of the season and as such
(and because Gobbles was in attendance) everyone involved receives bonus IL points.

In the end it was the team of Marc-André Breau and Geoff Penton that were the eventual winners after a scoring error was resolved.*

1. Marc-André Breau & Geoff Penton (53)
2. Stacie Sivyer & Shane Kilpatrick (54)
3. Cali Kyle Fisher (55)
4=. Mathieu Dignard & Jeff Lariviere (56)
4=. Larry Pegg & Claus Reitlingshoefer (56)
4=. Chris Morisson & Andrew Vallée (56)
7=. Adam Crupi & Ken Darcovich (57)
7=. Dan Phillips & Alex Wierdsma (57)
9. Serge Seguin & Mike McCormick (58 )
10. Ryan Briggs & Don Lane (59)
11. Stephanie Clavel & Steve Pike (61)
12. Ben Svetkoff & Gavin Schnobb (63)

* To my surprise the card of Shane, Stace, OMR and Mathieu did not fill out their score for hole 9 which led me to believe Shane and Stace were the winners with a 52.
Because this is IL I gave them the benefit of the doubt and contacted Shane for their scores on hole 9 which turned their 52 into a 54 and turned OMRs 54 into a 56.

I leave it to Stace and Shane to give $20 of their $30 winnings to Marc-André Breau & Geoff Penton as their 54 was good enough for 2nd place.

Ice League will resume Saturday November 23rd at the prestigious
Vincent Massey Park 12 hole layout.

IL point standings should be up in a week or two.

I don't get it. I missed filling out hole 9? How did that change the score by 2 points?

Don't the final announced results of an event stand after the conclusion of the event, even if they're incorrect? (ie what was announced at the closing ceremony.)

I'm not trying to meddle or stir things up but maybe I don't have a clear understanding of this portion of the PDGA rules in this instance.

I don't believe PDGA rules are in effect for ice-league Adam. For instance, ribbons on discs are a clear violation. Or lights, Claus!

Understood, OMR, but I have always understood that we follow the spirit of PDGA rules at all ODGC events unless otherwise specified, or otherwise dictated by the appropriate tyrant.

And what are the spirit of the PDGA rules?

If I really were a Tyrant I would penalize them the 2 strokes for turning in an incorrect scorecard. What I should have done is taken a minute to scan their scorecard and given it back to them.

Well, I would prefer the spirit of fair play over the spirit of the PDGA. (Also, I would've ended up with a 58...!) wink

I've done a quick look and I can't quickly find a rule in the PDGA manual that would make your inquiry/assumption correct. Can you point it out to me?
