It's all downhill from here, folks.

The middle of Rec League. I would change all the OB's and start times and all, but why change horses in midstream?

I wish. Love Thursdays. I'll make it work next week...and it'll be a little dirty, too.

It was, in fact, pretty nice out there.

We had our first two card evening of the year, with 8 whole people out throwing plastic things at metal things.

Doug set himself up for some quality Rec League sandbagging in weeks to come with an 86. The best use of 5$ award goes to him, and with it a Cyclone stamped with a bunch of companies that I assume sponsored or contributed to Kanata DGC back in the day.

Leppy and River were the hot card of the night, both coming in at 49. River took off before my card got in, avoiding a playoff for best score. I'm not saying he's chicken, but ...

Leppy took home an actual, trademarked Frisbee driver for his efforts. And also a 15th anniversary ODGC stamped Polar Bear for best adjusted score.

And we leave you this week with a special tip of the hat to Weirdsma's friend Chris, who's last name I didn't bother writing down becaue I'm a terrible person.

Shooting an impressive 3 over par on only his 2nd time playing DG in life. He didn't win anything but respect, and may well have screwed himself out of contention for most improved awards for the rest of the season, but the important thing is the respect. I mean ... you can't throw it into a basket or hang it on your wall or anything, but at least it doesn't weigh much.

So, there's that.

Memory of the night... Getting baited into a 5 on 11 by OMR.
Hint for all: Just because the other guy put it in from there doesn't mean you have to. Also, 2/11 basket is crooked, never forget.
